MUMBAI vs BENGALURU
Wankhede Stadium

Code:
MUMBAI 264 46.5 overs
BENGALURU 267/4 46.1 overs

Bengaluru won by 6 wickets (with 23 balls remaining)

Man of the match: Ben Stokes (Bengaluru)

I think most of our batsman looked pretty solid there out in the middle but they did go for the big shot pretty early in their innings and that is what cost us. And more disappointing was to lose 4 wickets to a left arm spinner on a good batting track with some bounce in it. I think Bengaluru bowlers bowled pretty well and didn't let us settle. Some incredible display of all-round performance from Ben Stokes. I think we were a spinner short on this track and would look to correct it in next game.

Rajasthan were skittled out for just 162 at their own homeground! Things would've been far worse had it not been for Nitish Rana and Ankit Bawne's gritty knocks.
Nitish Rana and Ankit Bawne were the only ones that managed to score runs against Kolkata's bowlers. They both scored very sedated al though, important fifties.
Navdeep Saini did show immense resistance and held his wicket for quite some time, but eventually, they got him out as well and then their innings folded.

Amit Mishra and Bhuvneshwar Kumar picked three wickets each, and were economical. The latter mentioned was almost twice as economical as the prior, tho.
Mitchell Starc bagged two wickets. The important one being of David Warner's in the very first over. It became very hard for Rajasthan to recover after that blow.

Kolkata registers a comfortable win in the end. They chase the target with 7 wickets and 125 balls to spare, reviving their net run-rate after their first game.
There were a couple of occasions where it seemed like Rajasthan had found a breakthrough, but they could never capitalise on it and snatch victory from defeat.

The batsmen of Kolkata were far too good to give this away, especially against a bowling line that was arguably lacking a game-changer like Jasprit Bumrah.
The top-three batsmen in Kolkata's lineup were all dismissed in their 20s, giving Kolkata a bit of a scare only for Joe Root's responsible fifty to ensure the victory.

Fifties from Tamim Iqbal, Ruturaj Gaikwad and Manish Pandey power Delhi to 309 for 5 in their full 50.0 overs. A cautious start shunned a more impressive score.
Ruturaj Gaikwad played a classy knock at number three, but unluckily, threw his wicket away to Shakib Al Hasan ten runs short of a hundred, attempting a big hit.
Tamim Iqbal's partnership with Ruturaj Gaikwad was the cornerstone for Delhi. They added 137 runs together, during which, Tamim Iqbal achieved his fifty.

Shakib Al Hasan bagged a couple, but was on the expensive side. Mohammad Amir was also quite expensive, but his early scalp of Jonny Bairstow was important.
Mohammad Siraj was the most economical bowler of the lot for Chennai, but he could not claim more than one wicket, that being of Delhi's skipper Darren Stevens.

Glenn Maxwell nearly takes Chennai home! Batting at number seven, he played the innings of his life to get Chennai so close, only for him to run out of partners.
Delhi's bowlers were on point during most of the game, but Shakib Al Hasan's feisty fifty and Glenn Maxwell's belligerent century nearly undid all of their work.
A disappointing batting display from the top-order left Chennai staggering on 80/5, but a 127-run partnership for the sixth wicket rejuvenated their chances.

After that partnership between Shakib Al Hasan and Glenn Maxwell came to an end, Delhi thought they had found the breakthrough they desperately needed.
But Deepak Chahar's astounding resistance to Delhi's bowlers, and consequently, his partnership with Glenn Maxwell brought Chennai even closer to the target.
Fellow Aussie, Pat Cummins dismissed Deepak Chahar and found the ultimate breakthrough which Dhawal Kulkarni capitalised on and wrapped Chennai up.

Glenn Maxwell stood there, thinking about the single he took before Mohammad Siraj's dismissal and how the result could've been different had he not done that.
