Draft: The Toss Draft

Staying Players List
@ddrap14 - :pak: :bat: Saim Ayub
1710592070196.png
Saim Ayub is maybe not the batsman I wanted, but I needed a batsman. So I'm fine with keeping him around.

@CerealKiller - :ban: :ar: Shakib al Hasan
1710592175450.png
Shakib's had some temperament issues (and fitness issues tbh) for a few years but when he's fit and focused, he's one of the best all-rounders in the world.

@Till Valhalla - :ire: :ar: George Dockrell
1710592280405.png
Dockrell's been one of Ireland's finest in their international era, providing spin bowling and plucky batting. Might be a perfect fit for TV too

Swapping Players List
@Aislabie (via Disharies) - :pak: :bwl: Shaheen Shah Afridi
1710592475737.png
In addition to wicketkeeping here, Shaheen is a pretty solid quick bowler to add to Aislabie's team. Especially alongside Wasim.

@icyman (Via Yash) - :ken: :bwl: Josephat Ababu

F

@pillowprocter (via Supreme) - :nzf: :wkb: Brendon McCullum
1710592816566.png
Baz is a very good player - he may be more known for aggressive batting and coaching, but he has a Test triple ton and is also probably a better wicketkeeper than Violet Wattenberg.

@Supreme General (via Viper) - :ind: :bat: VVS Laxman
1710592957919.png
2001 still gives me trauma. In many other ways I think Laxman is India's Mike Hussey - noted for his ability at 5 or 6, the third star of a cracked middle order, clutch, and played county for a long time.

@Viper. (via Procter) - :eng: :bat: Bert Sutcliffe
1710593152161.png
One of New Zealand's first truly great Test cricketers, Sutcliffe really carried the Kiwi batting in the 1950s and early 1960s. Especially worth noting was that he was the other batsman in the Bob Blair game.

@Verified Enigma (from Icyman) - :ind: :bwl: Ashish Nehra
1710593289268.png
Nehra was bad at Tests, but developed a bunch of slower balls and variations to succeed at T20 level, which he did. There are also several pictures of him with fruit on the internet, such as this one.

@Disharies (from Aislabie) - :sri: :ar: Sanath Jayasuriya
1710593380889.png
Another to be better at limited overs than at Tests, Jayasuriya nonetheless had a respectable career across all three formats, and provides some versatility and strong top-order batting. Also, him for Shaheen might be the only straight swap of the draft.

@Yash. (from Verified Enigma) - :sri: :bat: Rupasinghe Jayawardene Mudiyanselage Gihan Madushanka Rupasinghe
1710593511806.png
Unlike his name, Gihan Rupasinghe was a very unspectacular cricketer. Not a particularly great batsman in this draft's context, sorry.

@Aislabie @icyman @pillowprocter @Supreme General @Viper. @Verified Enigma @Disharies @CerealKiller @Till Valhalla @Yash.
Thank you for participating in this draft! Your teams as of right now are attached below.
There's one more thing I need you to do - order the mess they are right now. If you can, within the next 36 hours if possible (so I can review them during the 3-6 class I have on Monday, because literally nothing happens there) submit your team's batting order, I'd love you for that. Thanks :)
