Police have foiled a major plot to "commit mass murder on an unimaginable scale" by destroying up to 10 passenger jets in mid-air.

The targets were flights leaving UK airports to the US.

Anti-terror police arrested 21 people in London, the Thames Valley and Birmingham on Wednesday night as stringent new security measures were imposed on all UK airports.

A ban on hand luggage, along with other checks and precautions, led to chaos at airports, where scores of flights were cancelled and massive queues built up.

I saw it on the news they had arrested 21 men mostly in London but some in midlands.

I say that all Terrorists that get caught should be given death penalty!

Nah, it could make them martyrs, nor should the death penalty be in a civilized country.

Put them in solitary confinement till their ticker stops tocking.
 
Yeh i agree with sureshot because then they wouldn t really be killed for there cause to become martyrs and they wouldn't be able to do anything else if they were kept there basically until they were dead, with no communication with anybody so they couldn't order anything from the inside.
 
Yes but this isnt about punishments, its about the critical danger level in England right now as given by MI5

Damn yeah, i saw this news in the morning.. they banned all handbags just wallets, purses or baby food is allowed and even those first are put in plastiv bags..
 
It doesn't make much sense to me, true it was coming but I don't think that this is it.

Once again though the BBC got it wrong, completely wrong :(

Yes, 2 arrests were made in the Birmingham area.


This is disturbing news. While I'm obviously glad the plot has been foiled, flying may soon become impractical due to the extreme level of security checks needed to keep it safe.

I sincerely hope that no Muslims are made to suffer in any way for this - as far as I am concerned, anyone who could do a thing like this is not a Muslim.
 
They need to find a way to punish the people (I use the term loosely) ho do this that is so bad that no other would do it in fear of the punishment
