The Cupan Barr D'Italia is a cricket competition for four Italian franchise teams, each of which has a link-up with a major Serie A football club: Cagliari, Juventus, Lazio and Milan; surprisingly, the Genoa CFC turned down the chance to support one of these teams.

Each franchise will employ an eighteen-man squad, comprising of ten Italians and eight non-Italian players. No more than five of these non-Italian players will be allowed to take a place in each playing XI.

Only players on the "Player Pool" list will be available for selection, as this is the sum total of players currently committed to playing in this new league.

W.O. - Win Outright (5 points) - Either the team batting second successfully chases the target, or the team batting first bowls out the chasing team.
W.D. - Winning Draw (4 points) - The team batting first defends their target, but fails to bowl out the chasing team.
Tie - Tie (3 points) - Self-explanatory.
N.R. - No Result (2 points) - The game is not completed and no result is reached.
L.D. - Losing Draw (1 point) - The team batting second does not chase the target, but successfully lasts its overs.
L.O. - Loss Outright (0 points) - Either the team batting first fails to defend its target, or the team batting second is bowled out.​

Sorry to anyone who was hoping to see Village Cricket Simulator - I've found university to be rather more work than I expected (in a mostly good way). I can, however, manage this little league. It's possible that I might even manage to make this run for multiple seasons, but let's not get ahead of ourselves.

Anyway, let's get signing up. It's not just going to be first-come-first serve; if I see someone I really want involved has signed up, they'll probably get a team.

Oh, and if anyone is fluent in Italian and notices any grammatical mistakes, please let me know.
