Bourdais makes it two in two

After a thrilling, race-long ding-dong battle with his less experienced team-mate, Sebastien Bourdais managed to replicate his win in Sepang on the dry roads of Suzuka. In a battle that carried on until the final lap - he finished less than a second clear of the young Kiwi. Scuderia Italia's Umair Alonso managed to round off the podium places.

Aside from the regular lead-swapping, the race was largely defined by a chaotic opening lap incident. Tenacious Racing's Franck Montagny misjudged the left-hand hairpin and caught the curb, spinning across the circuit and into the gravel trap. He managed to avoid ending anyone else's race thanks to a huge slice of luck, but he caused both Petronas drivers to take evasive action, including the consistently unlucky Prathik, as well as clipping the front wing of Patrick Friesacher.

Once the yellow flags were lifted, Vitantonio Liuzzi and Red King were the stars of the race. King, although he finished pointless, climbed five places from his grid position, and raced as high as sixth place during the pit-stops. Liuzzi, meanwhile, managed to get some real pace out of his Scuderia Italia, and overtook both Mugens, both RBS cars and Sully's Mobil-Vodafone en route to a nine-place gain in fifth place.

Joe Messi, however, was the day's real loser as he was blamelessly eliminated by a poor overtaking move by Alguersuari's Cosworth. Alguersuari lost a wheel while forcing Messi into the wall to make it two retirements in two races for the luckless Aussie.

Another very entertaining race, then, as Formula PC continues to stamp its mark on the motorsport landscape.

Decent race from where I started. 10 points is not bad actually. Hope we can improve as season proceeds. Maybe we need some upgrades for our team. Sad no point for my teammate.

@The Author waiting for Drivers' and Constructors' Standings and btw great work. :)

Bourdais favourite again at Shanghai
FPC will bid goodbye to Asia this week, but first there's the small matter of a mad dash around the Shanghai circuit.

Of course, the favourite to take the victory in this race has to be the man who already has two: Sebastian Bourdais. He's been on a completely different plain to most of his rivals, although his team-mate Michael Ng managed to keep pace with him very well in Suzuka. Of course, that isn't to say that there aren't other cars on the grid that are capable of winning races - the Mugens, Scuderias and Mobil-Vodafone cars have all shown promise thus far, while Panasonic, RBS and Infiniti may also be worth watching.

The other four teams have all struggled, though. None of them has scored a point thus far, the best result being Red King's surprise 12th place for Cosworth. Petronas, who were expected to hang onto the coat-tails of the midfield, have been especially disappointing with no qualifying or race pace to speak of. With Charles Pic still out of the field despite a strong opening race, Patrick Friesacher, Markus Winkelhock and Jaime Alguersuari may all be driving for their seats.

Aside from Buemi, the bookies are backing Alonso and Davidson to round out the podium. We'll see.

We'll see you soon at the Chinese Qualifying.
