Round 1 fixtures

Australia C v West Indies B
at Perth

- Pitch expected to favor fast bowlers. Won't be easy to bat on.
- Players unavailable: none

West Indies A v New Zealand at Jamaica

- Conditions very much in favor of bowlers, although batsman capable of digging deep might have a chance.
- Players unavailable: none

South Africa A v Pakistan at Johannesburg

- Pitch expected to be very good to bat on. Expect big first innings totals.
- Players unavailable: none

Australia B v India at The SCG

- Offers a bit of turn but not all that good for spinners this time. Bowlers capable of swinging it might still have a chance.
- Players unavailable: none

Australia A v Legends XI at The MCG

- Green top, thus not much in it for spinners. Batsmen aren't going to have it all that easy either.
- Players unavailable: none

West Indies C v South Africa B at Trinidad

- Something in it for the spinners. Batsmen can be expected to score big.
- Players unavailable: none

Same XI for us. I see no reason to change the team which did so well in the warm up. I am yet to see the scorecard...

Whoa ho ho! Look what do we have here? Sabina Park! Four guys who can bowl 145 clicks and the other with the most lethal slower bowl in the history of the sport. Perfect combination.

I think this is the best I can go with considering such a putch. Putting the the prominent player, Ken Rutherford who loved digging in the innings, not getting out should do perfect and I know that these kind of batters, the Crowe, Wright, Hadlee and Cairns type don't let the team down once again.
Also, bringing in the beloved Danny Morrison, who has a lot of experience and just the right kind of experience I need, he'll definitely provide the right help my other world class bowlers will need.

Archie MacLaren
Billy Murdoch :wk:

George Lohmann :bwl:
Terror Turner :bwl:
JJ Ferris :bwl:
Fred Spofforth :bwl:

It was a difficult decision to leave out Billy Barnes, but on such a green track it only made sense to pick Terror Turner. Archie MacLaren comes in, batting slightly out of position, but he does have a Test hundred in him at number five. The other change is bringing in JJ Ferris for Bates, seeing as there's no need for spin on this pitch.
