Star Player Auction | Pool C - Warne unsold! End of auction

The Nine Dragons bought Khurram Khan as their second star player. He seems to be quite a bargain buy at $20,000 for a man who continued to play a high standard of ODI and first-class cricket well into his forties.

The bidding may start for Trent Johnston, whose reserve price is set at $15,000.

Star Player #11 - Trent Johnston ($15,000)

Full name: David Trent Johnston
DOB: April 29, 1974 (Age 41)
Country: :ire: Ireland
Role: Bowling all-rounder
Batting style: Right-hand bat
Bowling style: Right-arm fast-medium
Playing status: Called it a day after helping Ireland win the 2013/14 Intercontinental Cup. He has moved into coaching since.

Short bio

"A clever medium pacer and excellent leader, Trent Johnston was one of Ireland's most prolific seam bowlers. While others like Boyd Rankin grabbed the headlines, it was usually Johnston who put in the hard yards. In his final T20 international, he put in perhaps his best performance." - The Author

Slipperpool made their second star player signing by winning Trent Johnston for $20,000. That makes him the second associate legend to make it to their squad after Tikolo.

Star Player #12 - Brad Hogg ($15,000)

Full name: George Bradley Hogg
DOB: February 6, 1971 (Age 44)
Country: :aus: Australia
Role: Spin bowler
Batting style: Left-hand bat
Bowling style: Slow left-arm chinaman
Playing status: Has been playing in various T20 leagues around the world since coming out of retirement for the 2011/12 BBL. Isn't likely to quit anytime soon.

Short bio

"He's never been much of a long-format bowler, but his self-belief took him out of the commentary box and into the BBL. Since then, he's played IPL as well, and represented Australia at the World Twenty20. Now into his 45th year, he retains the powers of someone much younger." - The Author

The last player from Pool B is the evergreen Brad Hogg, who at 44 continues to top the bowling charts with his chinamans in various T20 leagues around the world. His bidding can start at $15,000.
