The auction process is being organized and managed by Rudi and NMA. It's the date given by NMA according to his convenience. I don't think it makes any difference as the auction is going to be a single player at a time. So it would be very easy and quick process this time. Teams that are interested in a player will bid while others can wait for that player to get sold and move on to next player.
One player at a time? Won't it take so long to finish the auction?
It would be opposite. For ex: First player is up for bidding is Jonathan Trott and only one team is interested in him then he is sold to that team and we move on to next player. Same for other players as well. In this way, the interested franchises can bid for a player while others can just say 'No' and wait for the bidding process of that player to complete.
