I'm thinking an Indian, as they play on very flat pitches. Someone like Yuvi or Sehwag. McCullum, Gayle on a good day, Bopara if he starts opening in ODIs and gets a good pitch and some poor bowling, and maybe the likes of Jayasuriya, Dilshan, Smith, Albie Morkel if he gets promoted, KP if he gets promoted...

I wouldn't say Jayasuria now because I have seen on numerous occasions, that after reaching his century, he becomes very tired and dehydrated. He then normally ends up giving his wicket away...

Yup. He's fit for his age, but he'll need friendly conditions, cool climate, small boundaries, a runner, and the opportunity to bludgeon a weak attack to get there. He'll need to get to his 100 off about 70 balls, and get his 200 by 160 deliveries or so, cause otherwise he'll be very tired. Kinda the same thing that happened to Sachin.

Tiredness isn't really a problem for the likes of Sehwag and Yuvraj, I don't know how, But they just keep on going until they mis-hit one or get done by a good ball..

Sehwags slogged his way to triple tons in Test cricket, so there's no reason why he couldn't do it in an ODi if the pitch is flat and the bowlers crap.

Bopara's alreay done it against what would be fair to say is an attack that could hold it's own in international cricket.

I disagree with McCullum. While he scores quickly enough, he would have to be dropped 5 times, and have numerous turned down appeals to get there. He gives too many chances.

I thought Hayden was always a terrific chance, and proved so against New Zealand.

But really, who knows. So much of it depends on the circumstances.

McCullum with his current form wouldn't get anywhere near 200. His IPL form he would get there easily but going by what I have seen in the ODI series against India he seems to be batting within himself.

Sehwag looks the favourite of the players when he clicks.

You seem to be taking too much credit away from Sehwag. He doesn`t only score runs against crap bowlers. In fact his test double which he scored at more than a run-a-ball came against an attack of Ntini,Steyn and Morkel.

I'm not taking any credit away from him, he's a tremendously talented batsman, a batsman worthy of averaging 51 in Test cricket? I don't think so, but he's very entertaining. That innings may have come against a decent bowling attack, but it was on a pitch that produced over 1000 runs in the 2 sides First Innings. I'm just saying if he's ever going to score a double ton in an ODi he'll need a very flat pitch and some poor bowling, anyone would.

Chris gayle is the only player in world cricket today capable of making 200 in a 50 overs ODI.

He is so far the only player to make a century in a 20/20 game.

in an international 20/20 game ;) Lots of players have made domestic 20/20 hundreds. Nice to see a lack of bias as well sammy.

OMFG, Andrew Strauss is the only player in world cricket today capable of making 200 in a 50 overs ODI.
