Next Codemasters game - Ashes Cricket 2009

Is there a chance that this game could just work on some of the older GPUs, (read FX5500) as he says there could be an option of scaling down the graphics? I hope yes but I think the answer is no.
Games like Call Of Duty 2 used to have 2 graphic modes,one which was for DX 9 cards and the other for the DX7/8 cards.
It worked well.

I would request you to be bit patient. I know we all are excited about this new game which seem to quench our thirst of a cricket game.. but for sure, PC admins/globies would do their best to keep the people informed about the exclusives.

Those two developers in their interview also said that they had PC only(among the many cricket sites) as their backbone or Source for triggering of next game development. So definitely we will try our best to keep you people updated.

8th July 11 pm the Ashes start but when will we have this looking forward to Ashes 09 on my PS3 and TMS on the radio. I hope they relese it on 8th or maybe 7th this will give them time to polish, de bug or hide bugs depending oon how you see it and time for my Exams to finish.

Just a small question, Before BLIC05 they release a demo wher you can select Either of England,Australia,W.I for a 6 over ODI match... Now that this game is soooo focused on Ashes, will we get a playable demo which allows us to play test match?? If so than that would be gr8 .Should help passing time while waiting for the ultimate release.. Please clarify this point with the developers...

P.S: I know releasing a demo with Eng and Aus as playable teams for Test matches might not be something deelopers want as whole game is based upon that, but they can release a Test demo with South Africa and India for test.... Would be gr8 even with unlicensed players as mods will allways find a way..

That's the link to the Ponting interview with the game in the background. Not to sure, looks good in terms of lighting, player models etc but some of the shots look a bit iffy...

graphics look great and attention to detail like hitting the pitch with your bat but shots look quit interesting

i think those interesting shots are because its being played by a person who doesnt know what they are doing. I saw one they tried to pull a yorker hence why it looked odd, they didnt choose their foot properly. However when they on drived a half volley it looked very good. But it looked really easy to score runs again which i am a little concerned about, maybe it is just on really easy. But everything else looks great, its just that difficulty that is the key.
