Fable is coming back to PC after a wait of 5 years... First game was frigging awesome.. Just one day left in release and i'm surprised there is no thread on Fable here?? I guess there are not a lot of fable fans here on PC.

Here is what metacritic says about it:
Fans new and returning will now embark on an epic adventure, where the race for the crown is only the beginning of your spectacular journey. Five decades have passed since the events of "Fable II," and Albion has matured into an industrial revolution, but the fate of the kingdom is at peril. In "Fable III," you will be called upon to rally and fight alongside your people, ascend to the seat of power, and experience the true meaning of love and loss. The choices and sacrifices you make while fanning the flames of revolution, and then as you rule as King or Queen or Albion, will lead to an ever evolving world of consequences that will be felt across your entire land. This sets the stage for unparalleled action and adventure that offers even more ways to fight and engage than ever before. Throughout your journey, you will encounter a colorful cast of characters that fans have come to expect from the off-beat style and humor in the ?Fable? games. After determining whether these characters are your friends or foes, you will either join them or fight against them in explosive combat, alone or with a friend on Xbox LIVE. In your quest to plant the seeds of revolution, seize power and rule over your kingdom, the choices you make will change the world around you, for the greater good or your own personal gain. Who will you become? A rebel without a cause, the tyrant you rebelled against, or the greatest ruler to ever live?

Any RPG fan should get this one.

^As far as I know, Fable 3 has thinned down RPG element and is merely a hack and slash with a few innovations. It is essentially not an RPG any more.

There are still a lot of things that you cannot find in other RPG's(Social expressions:fart, kiss, flirt, rage, disco, etc)

^I played the first two fables and loved it. First one was better IMHO. They made the second one too dam easy and difficulty for third has not been changed as per the developers.

Yeah first was awesome.. That was my first RPG... since then i'm love with this genre. I might try to be evil this time around. Last time i played the game as good hero

^If you love RPGs, you should try out Gothic 1 and Gothic 2. Gothic was the game that made me fall in love with the Genre.

Since then i have played a lot of classics..

Oblivion
DragonAge Origins
Mass Effect 1,2
The Witcher
Fallout3
The rise of the Argonauts(i think we can all it a fable type hack/slash RPG, its story was awesome and so were they gameplay mechanics)

I loved the Mass Effect series in all of the rpg's for sheer quality of dialogues's,missions and story....

Would recieve my copy of Arcania tomorrow... Lets see how good it is..

I might order Fallout New Vegas after this.

Arcania as per the review of the Gothic fans is not a true successor of Gothic Franchise. I would recommend playing Gothic 1 and Gothic 2. Those are the cult classic RPGs, very difficult yet satisfying.

^ FF is too famine for my taste :p

what?

I don't like playing single player RPG games, it gets too boring. MMORPGs are more fun but then you have the problem of having to pay each month for most of them. I used to play one that didn't require this called Perfect World, had a fair few friends who played it as well but then we all stopped, mostly because we were too busy

:doh I was thinking feminine, don't know what made me write that instead :p

I agree some of the RPG gets boring. But you gotta give them some time, not every title sucks you in within a few minute (read:Mass Effect,Fable). You gotta play some games for about 2 or 3 hours before real story kicks in and left you with a wow feeling.
I've started Arcania today. Its feels like a crap game at the moment as i'm doing idiotic chores at the moment. Would wait till the story unfolds. If its any better then i'll play more.

P.S: Don't tell me that you haven't played Mass Effect yet  Its criminal offense for a gamer :p

I liked Fable at first, but it got boring quickly - if you chose to be 'Evil' for example, it was far too easy to start with the security guards and slaughter everyone in the village including them, so that needs looking at. Also, I hate playing this sort of game in 3rd person - it takes you right out of the action - will Fable III have a proper 1st person view option?

Best RPG game is Final Fantasy :p

Haven't played Fable though.

For me, Oblivion takes that title. Shame there are no more Elder Scrolls games on the way, at least for a while. :( Still, there's always Fallout 3 to dive into when I want some RPG action.

Personally I find the Final Fantasy series the best RPG's ever produced. And then I didn't even get the chance to play all the games (above Final Fantasy &), because they come only on selected platforms.

This game, Fable 3, got a 7.5 from Gamespot.

The Fable series and Fallout are the best two RPGs ever produced in my opinion. Both are superb.
