What do BCCI or Team India have against using the DRS ??

I object to the thread title.
very distasteful and encouraging explicit responses.

We need to send a memo to the elite panel to make as many shocking decisions against India in tests as possible until they change their minds.

Because they have yet to figure out how to make a buck off it. As soon as the BCCI figures out how to prostitute the UDRS they will be all about it.

Sour grapes from that first series?

Like it or not, I think UDRS is here to stay, not in it's current form, it needs to be supported by the ICC, not the home broadcaster. Though I don't see the ICC ever standing up to the BCCI.

Don't know why they still haven't gotten over that SL series. UDRS has been significantly improved since that series. What we need are like 4-5 decisions to go against us, hopefully it happens in that windies series, so idiots learn from this.

Pissed off with the way the BCCI talks and functions these days. Bunch of morons!

Probably should change to title to BCCI and the Indian team, I have yet to meet an Indian fan who opposes UDRS, it's just the board and toolmaster Dhoni that does.

Tbh the people who make snicko need to make it faster. 6 minutes is ridiculous - I could do it myself in 30 seconds.
They say that the hard part is syncronising it with the pictures but even just the audio waveform lets you know if there was an edge or not.

I am afraid that should this trend continue , there wont't be technology used for the England india test series in July . I know how Alastair Cook would feel then .

@ Sureshot , Mark and TruSachfan : Just to inform that its no more UDRS , its been renamed DRS as the umpires wanted the letter 'U' removed as it stood for 'Umpire' which was basically meaningless given they had no role in that technology system

Isn't it more the cost of installing it at the smaller grounds in India, no disrespect, but your grounds aren't quite as modern as Lord's or Sydney etc.

Until the ICC decide that it is compulsory to have UDRS in every match, there is always going to be somebody who decides that they don't want it.

They can't decline to use it for WC matches either can they? ICC already announced that it's a must.

Sadly Sachin too opposes it. If Sachin supports it, it would have been implemented by India by now. Sachin's words are almost like gospel for the country

I have a feeling that ECB are going to be the team that bucks the trend and might opt for DRS inspite of the BCCI voicing their opinion on not to use it.
