Already into day 3 by now I believe...

So far I've picked up Frozen Synapse, Payday: The Heist (nicely gifted to me by a friend), Mount and Blade: Warband, Orcs Must Die, and Dead Island...

Remember the basic rules of the Steam Sale. 75% is about cheap as anything will go unless it's quite old or in a daily deal/flash sale.

Don't buy anything until the last day if it hasn't been in a daily deal yet!

I picked up Payday, Saints Row the Third, L.A. Noire, and Portal 2. Probably going to get Mirror's Edge too :D

Pretty sure it was a couple of quid at one point in a flash sale... rude not to at that price :p

I was tracking Dead Island, I believe that was on sale, but managed to miss it. Now it's gone back up to ?20, damn it! When's the last day?

Not sure, normally runs for a week and we're on day 6 at the moment I think. I paid ?6.69 for Dead Island.

Also anyone interested in Frozen Synapse? I have a copy spare.

I thought this was a scam until I saw my friend buy Assassins Creed Brotherhood for $2 yesterday!

PRetty cool but Steam must rake it in with all these kids buying games they probably will never play just becuase they only cost a few bucks.

Yeah it's not just Steam though that benefit. Introversion (guys behind Defcon/Darwinia and now Prison Architect) owe their company's life to Steam.

When they ran a sale to push their game they ended up making enough to stay afloat and release their next game and the exposure meant more sales in the long-term.

I certainly have a library of games from the last sale I'll never play, but at least a lot of the money goes to the developers unlike when buying second hand. I often end up just picking up games I already own on other platforms in a steam sale just to have them all in one place.

I love Valve, so don't really have anything bad to say about them :D

Gotta love EA, who a couple of weeks ago came out and said they would never run Steam style 75% off sales as it devalues Ip. Then ran their own big sale a week before Steam's one haha.

Oh and grabbed Mount and Blade: Warband yesterday and played it all night :D

Classic old PC game. Love it.

Remember, add Puddleduck on steam and you might find you get gifted the odd game from me when I end up with doubles of copies ;)

Which puddleduck? there's like 20 of you

im leftarmfast

add me

When I search for leftarmfast, brings up Domitian, name Mr Burns ;)

yea that's me.

Charles Burns is one of my many internet aliases

I reckon it's you based on the games. Cricket Rev and Battlefield give it away :p

yupp.

To bad we can't give away the games we have. I have Empire Earth and I've never played it
