Pakistan's tour of England - August/September - 3 Tests/3 T20Is

Time for the timeless test to make a comeback?
IMHO I feel that timeless Tests were literally the most rubbish form of Cricket. Maybe we can have extra days in case we have rain interruptions like this match where the days are being called off without an over of play possible. The timeless Test would lead to a situation where we might've to scrap the FTP which might result in huge losses for ICC and respective Cricket boards. Such format would kill the players yet we won't see good results. Instead I would better have a snooze fest ODI game where 350 is chased quite comfortably than an overkill like timeless Test.[DOUBLEPOST=1597564161][/DOUBLEPOST]In all honesty Pakistan will be pleased to get away with a draw after being 126/5. The rain interruption actually helped Pakistan to get to 236 which would've been much less if they had to play the entire day 1.

England doing their best to still force a result! :rolleyes
Rain doesn't want that to happen. Both sides have been lucky some or the other way. Perhaps we need a serious reality check over here regarding the strengths and weakness in both sides.[DOUBLEPOST=1597578090][/DOUBLEPOST]Btw is Pakistan playing in Australia or South Africa? Why have slip fielders so deep? Why not just come forward a bit? This is England, the odd one will stay low and would wobble a bit. Completely understandable to stand behind as compared to Asia but not that much.

I don't care about all this but there needs to be a system to have Vcash back if there's rain.

This matter be like :p :lol :

You can look at the forecast and bet on draw. Rain is part of the game, unfortunately.

You really want to talk about rules?

The odds given by these guys is absolutely bullish!t most of the times and the rule generally is that you're allowed to place bets mid games. I don't know who the "bookie" is but it seems as though this is made for him to win and for the others to just lose.

Can’t speak for the others, but i take the odds for the events i create from williamhill.com
As for the "mid-game bets", that is a serious allegation. In which game have you seen it happen?

The mid game has already been answered.

I am also not singling out people. I wasn't even sure you were a bookmaker. This is a forum and if there is room to improve then it should move towards that. I don't know how long I have been here but I think long enough to care for all things on or about this forum.

The odds should directly be taken from places like betfair before the toss. The odds here are the same for us to lose but to win quite significantly lesser. During the World Cup when activity is most, some of the odds given deserved abuse to be hurled at the bookmakers. It was simply a joke.

Just wanted to talk about the cricket and it's administration-

There has been a lot of effort taken to make bio secure bubbles and what not to have a healthy environment made for test cricket to happen. I'm pretty sure a lot of money is at stake as well on this. How hard is it to push schedules by the number of days lost to weather and still have the test match held?

It's preposterous how the ICC and the sport in general sticks to its idealist mindset in a situation that demands adaptability. This pandemic is a test of society, humanity and all organisations across the globe and unsurprisingly the ICC is one big fail.
