I'm in the USA. At this point I'm just trying to get a sense of how feasible it would be to have a whole field full of novices playing tennis ball cricket. I'm hopeful, though! I really want to play.

I'm thinking of starting a casual cricket group in the Spring, but I'm in a non-cricketing country, so nobody in the group will have played before. I'm curious what cricket games played by novices tend to be like? Does it favor batting since the people bowling probably won't have very good accuracy?

WealeyH, thanks for the updates on the upcoming patch. Do you know what the team's plans are for future patches? Do they have a limit on how many improvements they'd make or could patches continue long term?

Too bad The Show 17 has it's own set of bugs; the consternation over on the Operation Sports forums is similar to here.

I wonder if we'll have greater control over shot selection after this patch. My problem was that I would aim to place the ball between fielders, but my bat dudes would always hit it right to one of them.
