Yeah spot on mate, I suspect that they thought that there's enough to differentiate between the 2 games (Arcade /Sim) but really they may inadvertently cannibalise their own sales.
Still early days but Day 1 sales looked to have been abysmal, I know cricket games are a niche market and all but even compared to DBC 17 and Ashes Cricket this is a pretty poor showing. Considering Ashes Cricket is on sale on the steam store for £9.99, there's no reason to get this game.
Yup no argument from me here. I think the best that one could possibly hope for would be to re-skin the WBBL to International Teams or the IPL / CPL with potential game play improvements. That being said the bugs would remain as is.
Not quite true as with DBC 14 and 17 we could mod the ball physics and as a result mod game play with the fearsome tweak patch and also we modded all of the textures and sounds for the PC release. I see that a blobset editor was also released for Ashes Cricket. So given it is based on the same...
For me personally it depends on the price point and what can be done in terms of modding on the PC. We have far more flexibility than consoles in terms of modding / patching. Like I said before no way am I paying £45 for this, but should the price drop to around £10 then I'd be willing to take a...
I was waiting for the PC release with the hopes of modding it and seeing what we could do, perhaps even modding the WBBL to the IPL but if it is priced similarly at £45 then there is no way I'm paying that for this game.
To be fair when i played it at a mates place for the switch shortly after launch, it wasn't even worth £5 let alone £24. I know that they released a switch patch last week but not seen how much of an improvement that has made but given YouTube videos I have seen for the PS4 version, it is just...
It's now £45 on the UK Nintendo eShop when it was £24 on release. Personally I have never ever seen a game launch and then in a matter of weeks increase the retail price by almost double. I wonder if their thinking is along the lines of given how poorly received the game has been, coupled with...
There was a post on Reddit where someone supposedly contacted Ross and he confirmed that the switch version is an old build of the game and not the same as the PS4 and Xbox versions. How they can do this is honestly astounding.
From what I saw it's not up to date. Firstly the game doesn't even get the number of players you have in the squad correct. Teams are allowed to have a maximum of 18 players with a maximum of 2 overseas players and a minimum of 2 rookie contracts. The game only has 15 players per team so you are...
