Do player rankings change when someone is in form as when i run the scout i get slightly different batting ratings compared to ones people have posted here e.g. hughes and ponting

I have read the player editing tutorial but the more i read the more confused i get. I dont want to edit any player i only want to see their bowling and batting ability. Like someone has done with australia by creating a table for top 10 australian batsman. Can you tell me how to go about...

how come all the bowlers i choose have the bowling rating 320 and so batsmen who never bowl. Also i first tested ponting and his batting rating is different to the one other have said his rating is in this forum. Does that batting rating go up and down in the game?
