Multiverse of Madness - CHAMPIONS OF THE MULTIVERSE

Don't be sad...
IdolizedEssentialAmericanredsquirrel-size_restricted.gif

2016 - the year of 12 leagues, most I've run in a single year. Naman7 and Manish. have drawn and Amjad Sabri Memorial One-Day game and Royal London One-Day Cup.
Jeez, Naman7 came looking for a pot of gold and struck down a sewer. He has drawn (Pakistani) Showbiz Stars XI whereas Manish. has drawn Leeds Vikings.

@Naman7 is going to manage Showbiz Stars XI from Amjad Sabri Memorial One-Day Game and @Manish. is going to manage Leeds Vikings from Royal London One-Day Cup.
If this match doesn’t break all records i'll be disappointed.

...right then, where were we?

2018 is up next - only four leagues this year. RUDI and mohsin7827 BOTH draw IndoPak Premier League - first time the same league has been regurgitated by RANDOM.org.
RUDI draws Kolkata Exemplars and mohsin7827 draws Delhi Dynamos - Kolkata Exemplars finished 5th and Delhi Dynamos finished 8th in the IndoPak Premier League.

RUDI will be managing Kolkata Exemplars and mohsin7827 will be managing Delhi Dyanmos. Both teams are chosen from the inaugural IndoPak Premier League.

KOLKATA EXEMPLARS - IndoPak Premier League

SEED - 2018-S1

I've got no clue how this squad finished fifth in IndoPak Premier League.

DELHI DYNAMOS - IndoPak Premier League

SEED - 2018-S2

There's definitely a brilliant XI hidden somewhere in this squad. But maybe that XI is more suited to T20 cricket than List-A cricket.

2019! Talk about slim pickings, one league less than last time. Mijurkat and NILAYSHAH60 get 2009 Champions League Twenty20 and 2019 Indian One-Day Championship.
Champions have been drawn from EACH league - New South Wales Blues and Rajasthan Royals. Eerie considering how NILAYSHAH60 jokingly pitched to manage the latter.

Mijurkat gets New South Wales Blues from 2009 Champions League Twenty20 and NILAYSHAH60 gets Rajasthan Royals from 2019 Indian One-Day Championship.

Right then, McCullum, Hughes, Warner, Katich, Smith, Lee, Bollinger, Bracken, Hauritz... finalists, easily? But remember though, this is 2009.

Second last pot of the draw - it's the pandemic year, 2020! Neptune and ddrap14 have drawn PC Champions League X8 and 2011 Champions League Twenty20, respectively.
Neptune draws Durban Lions and ddrap14 draws Southern Redbacks. Two really well-composed squads on-paper, but do they have what it takes to go the distance?

So, Neptune will be managing Durban Lions from PC Champions League X8 and ddrap14 will be managing Southern Redbacks from 2011 Champions League Twenty20.

DURBAN LIONS - PC Champions League X8

SEED - 2020-S1

This squad definitely has all the tools to go the distance just on the basis of their local talent. Diverse pitches might make a difference though.

SOUTHERN REDBACKS - 2011 Champions League Twenty20

SEED - 2020-S1

The transition from T20 to List-A shouldn't be that difficult considering how it's more or less the same squad Southern Redbacks had in the One-Day Cup (2010/11).

Final pot, final year. 2021. Three completed leagues, one ongoing league and to throw a monkey wrench in the works - Multiverse of Madness (since it qualifies for 2021).
Look at that! First outcome - Multiverse of Madness. I have to switch the order of the last two teams to make sure all teams from this league are put into the randomizer.

The second outcome of the draw is the famed The PlanetCricket League 3.0 - Kumar Vishal Trophy - for AsadRM/CooldiPargi. Which means, they can potentially draw...
...The Avengers from TPCL3.0 - KVT! Poetic considering how many Marvel/MCU references I've jammed into this thread (and they were also team members of said team).

CerealKiller has also drawn The Avengers, but from Multiverse of Madness (this league) and not TPCL3.0, as all 15 outcomes before this one were put into the randomizer.

AsadRM/CooldiPargi will have the satisfaction of managing The Avengers from KVT. CerealKiller will also be managing The Avengers, but from Multiverse of Madness.

THE AVENGERS - Kumar Vishal Trophy

SEED - 2021-S2

I am so confused. My squad's name is Showbiz Stars XI, but the team is The Avengers? And where the hell did a mirror match come from and what does it mean :lol

Did you not read the description in the spoiler? You drew The Avengers. I wrote Showbiz XI to fool you.

Guess it didn't work. :p

By the way, the players will be rated according to their performance in their year of origin, right?
And Avengers batsmen won’t have their rating affected by their batting position?

Honestly that's a pretty decent squad. The overseas options are a bit meh but the local players are as good as you could hope to get
