I dont understand this. Why does there need to be an Arijit version for this? It's not like he is the only singer that should be singing these type of songs. Its disrespectful to the original singer when another singer sings a separate version of your song. I guess they caved into the pressure of certain fans who always associate Arijit Singh with these kinda songs.

I mean I agree to your point but fan's expect more. Sachet is also the music composer so definitely this was preplanned. Songs are not recorded over night... Its like how a movie has the original song, the bonus track and extended version these days. Kalank was another movie where there were 3 title tracks... original, extended and bonus I guess.

I personally loved the original Bekhayali better when compared to the Arijit version.

Also as you said, fans wanted it, they got it. Kalank title track was begged and requested like crazy after trailer launch and I guess they wanted an Arijit version and they got it.

Also, this is not new. The trend of same song sung by two different singers has always been there. Salman uses it in his films where one of the song will be sung by Rahat and the same one with Jubin or Mohit Chauhan and there are various other instances. From my perspective, its not disrespecting the singer, as the audience will listen to the version they liked, for me as I said the original Bekhayali has feels and not so much in Arijit version.

This song and the feel is crazy! I havent watched Kancha but Akshay gives next level goosebumps. Viruss has been awesome. So glad Badshah was not given this song to ruin it. This is so freaking crazy!

Does Bollywood even make film music anymore? The culture of film music albums by one composer or even a composer-duo is BUST! Nowadays film makers get solo tracks from so many composers and just paste it into their films. The likes of SEL, Amit Trivedi, Vishal-Shekar, Salim-Sulaiman, etc. have all disappeared into oblivion! Only when AR Rahman gets involved in a Bollywood film does it cause excitement in the Hindi film music scene.

These days, you take any recent Bollywood film and see their posters and you won't see the composer's name at all in them. Its a horrendous! In comparison, South film music is as thriving as it was before, with some popular composers headlining films. South does not believe in getting solo tracks from multiple composers and such ideas always gets shot down by composers who just opt out of such films. Maybe Bollywood needs to bring back that culture if they want to revive themselves.

I've got no idea about Bollywood Music at Present. It's just one of the few songs I pick up to listen. More so I am just stuck between 2000-2011/12 because I find them very relevant to my generation.

Trust AR Rahman to bring the much needed energy to Bollywood music! When the first single (Dafa Kar) released, I thought ARR had gone mad to have signed up for this film. But every other track in this album is so good. My favorites are "Jalwanuma", "Rehnuma" and "Miss Hairan"

I felt this song really had something in it! Sad that most of our generation won't be able to relate to this generation of Indian Cricket and hence this song won't receive as much of an appreciation.
