I don’t mind the emotions at all. It’s good to be pumped up and celebrate wins even if they are small in the larger context. I suppose it only becomes an issue when you start living off it and talk about that alone for ages which is what I think your lot has been guilty of.

Rahul is going to get all the hate as usual but he outscored the entire top four put together today whilst being asked to perform a fielding role he hasn’t done in a year. Important to maintain perspective IMO.

This is my biggest concern. We seem to have terrible plans or fail to execute them in pressure situations. Even in that famous heist against the same side in the WC, we were bowling length and short relying on Bangladeshi batters to chase the ball and give us catches.

We need to find a Bumrah replacement/backup and if we can’t we should turn him into a white ball specialist who only plays the occasional test because without him this side looks toothless with the ball.
