The Government of Argentina has announced increase budget for sports facilities, with Cricket and Rugby receiving major increases in budget. As quoted by the Argentine President, "Cricket is one of the most exciting sports in the world, and Argentina, like other sports, must be strong in it to continue the huge sporting culture of the country."

The increase in budget signifies that we could certainly see increase in the number of matches being played internationally by the Argentine cricket team. Owing to the fact they are now a member of the "World Cricket Conference", they can now hope to be competitive in cricket again and continue the rich history of cricket which has been a part of Argentina since the 1800s.
