both ending with 4-fers. Avishka's 47-run partnership with Chaturanga turned out to be the difference between the teams.
Jaffna found themselves in similar trouble to Basnahira and surprisingly, they also had a 140-odd run partnership but Daryl Mitchell struggled to hit it out towards the end.

Great start to the season. Avishka did well to score a hundred where no other batter apart from Chandimal got going, but holy hell was the first half of his innings lethargic as sin. Good to have the bowling clicking as it did, was legit scared Klaasen and Mitchell were gonna steal it away in the middle there.

Jos "The Boss" Buttler and Pathum Nissanka pair up with 90s as Dambulla chase down 331 in their first game.
Dakunu didn't have the sweetest of starts on this flattish track but Babar Azam's arrival made their innings more fluent.
Hope's dismissal just meant that KL Rahul added onto the aggression but 3 quick wickets turned the game in Dambulla's favour.
Charith Asalanka had other ideas and put up a solid display of strokeplay with help from Dhananjaya Lakshan. Both remained unbeaten.
Dambulla were in early trouble when their taslismanic opener Travis Head failed to contribute much.
It was good to see the local boys, Karunaratne and Gunathilaka, step up. Nissanka's work didn't go to waste as Jos Buttler did what he always does.
Vandersay did give slight hiccups towards the fag end of the game but de Silva ended the run chase with a phenomenal boundary.
