True, i wouldn't at all be surprised if the next update is minor and all together removes the final ? box on the select screen.

It appears the game , support wise, is dead. No content patch in 2 months and next to nothing from the developers on the game across social media in a long time.

I figured that, and as a smaller studio they probably can't work from home like most of the bigger devs can. I just wonder how that affects communication and support. That's why i asked, if maybe they've started to move on from AO Tennis.

On that note, but a different subject, what happened to this game? It hasn't had a full update to the game since March 13, and the last game update of an kind (content) was almost two months ago. There was also some big press release planned for an eSeries event...but the event came and went...

That's great and all, and the sentiment is indeed shared...but the point is, i'd like to see them step up and have a proper dedicated team-not for competition, not for me, but because they could have a really good game and the genre is on the verge of becoming packed. I'd like to see them succeed.

The improvements are almost purely from a Presentation and Polish perspective ( and very welcomed!). I really think BA should reconsider their routines and go forth with a dedicated team for AO Tennis in place of the usual cyclical development rotation of titles( and 3 months of solid post release support before phasing into the next series). AO Tennis is their most mainstream IP and Tennis is...

That would actually be perfect- because the gameplay was the only thing TWT got sort of right....so if they can amp up the content, polish and presentation ala AO Tennis 2 did from 1; then we’d have a pretty darn good TWT sequel.

Just keep in mind, they’ve retained the “rights” to the first game. So don’t expect anything drastically different, I guessing it’s more so going to be this new team building onto what was already existing.

I can give you 110% confirmation that this has a new development team.

Here are some "popularity" numbers, for those interested. This comes from the reputable (and proven) gamestats site. PS and Xbox numbers could be off by as much as 10%. Steam just gives a rough range. NSW has nothing. Tennis World Tour has 450k across PS, 92K on Xbox and a vague estimate of 20k...

I'm not sure if means anything but, Tennis World Tour was updated on Steamdb last fall-long after the game had shipped and stopped having updates. There were 3 separate logged entries in October.

Well the Mutua Madrid Open is actually officially licensed in Tennis World Tour- so that's why they chose that game. It's interesting though considering both games are now under Big Ben , as it almost comes across as conflict of interest considering AO Tennis 2 could have technically created a...
