No, that part he was specifically referring to real tennis and how timing isn't a factor at all...and that IS way off. As for his personal vision and ideas for gameplay, sure, i'm with it. But maybe he needs to clarify, because his paragraphs on gameplay and real tennis were separate.

Hey Mate, that myth was indeed busted about a month ago. There were originally 2 "Top Spin" guys working on this game but the lead guy left the process early on and the remaining guy worked on the Top Spin 2 GAMEBOY version....lol

Gotta say, i respect that he developed TE, but he is WAY off. Coming from a tennis professional, timing IS important. It's a key factor in your stroke production and great technique can be held back by off timed shots......that's just the reality of real tennis. Sorry bud.

See, this is the problem with these "saviors " TE and FA......they are so heavily dependent on mods in order to reach that "holy grail" level YET it's very likely that console players won't get those benefits, thus leaving them with rather rudimentary experiences. Weak graphics, zero license's...

Can they team adjust the short court game? There's no way to "crush" a sitter. Any time the opponent stabs at a ball and pops it up high just over the net, it's a nightmare to hit groundstrokes with any authority (despite that being probably the easier shot in real tennis to throughly punish).

There are things called updates, and in doing a quick search on this forum, that question hasn't been asked or really answered (let alone in a direct/clear message) in a long time. Situations like liscening can be resolved in varying amounts of time, so asking every few months doesn't warrant...

Nope, missing their groundstrokes, serve animations, proper scanning.......the academy players ARE well done though, but can't really compare the two.

Any update for getting those new players signed on?? This game has just about ticked every box for me, but 20 is a bit low. Also, any chance for updated/summer attires for the existing pros ?

Same issue, i told Mike that last week and i assume they are looking into it........HOWEVER, after weeks of frustration, if you actually just put your controller down and wait, the game does kick through the "freeze" and proceed to the next screen on it's on.

I think that is tied to the difficulty...because i'm in career on Rookie difficulty and my opponents REGULARLY hit 8+ errors in a 4-6 game set.

3 days- i played 5 events the first day, 1 event the second day and 1 event the 3rd day.....as of that post i won my first event and am now ranked in the top 850. But from no rank, to 850 you could probably do it in a day, as i'm not playing very much daily.

Took on the challenge of starting as a new player with no rank......it's quite the grind down in the futures level. Currently around 990 after 6 events but made the Final and Semis of my last 2.
