Yes definitely there is an issue in playing gaps. It used to be good few patches earlier. Some batting syles are more impacted. Only style 7 is little better in playing gaps.

I tried today shot on fast bowling and able to hit lofted shots to deep point if ball is bowled wide on the offside. Otherwise if its close to the wicket then they are going to deep cover like you said.

I dont remember but it has happened to me as well on classic control. I have to test it though. I think its happening either to particular batting style or only to spinner.

You have to click on the right stick and then play the shot. When you click the right stick the batter will lift the bat a little which indicates he is ready to play the advance shot

I reduced the some of my teams fielder throwing skill and they are not hitting the wickets. I think it should be < 60 or 50 to not hit wickets and around 67 or 71 to hit sometimes and will most of times hit if its >80
