Batting is surely easy in this game but it becomes all the more easy due to the silly AI fields. Even if i decide to not abuse the LT button and play normal ground shots, its pretty easy to score 8 to 10 runs an over. No doubt it lacks edges but at the same time AI fields are damn silly. I think...
Honestly what i loved about the dbc games, it was so different from previous cricket titles where you could just hit the ball for 6s and 4s at will. DBC changed this slab bam batting approach and gave us something realistic. I absolutely loved it. Alas ashes seems to have gone the old way.
I am playing at hard legend. I am unable to increase it to hardest due to limited ball marker time and the broken gameplay batting modifiers.
The spinners tend to only select the ring field in powerplay overs (only 1 time i have seen them change to some other field in powerplay). If you see in...
Continuing with my previous post regarding easy six hitting and batting in general and spinners using pace inner ring field, i am attaching a video of my 35 rated career player. Also note that in the video, after over 6.3, it says field changed, however there is no field change. This has...
The pace inner ring field (match type: any form) really needs to be removed. Or atleast field type changed from prevent boundaries to maybe stop singles or something. Everytime i hit couple of boundaries the AI changes to pace inner ring. Also this field is used by spinners as well. (Infact in...
Honestly apart from reduced shot force, i dont see much of a difference in batting difficulty. I am still able to score easy runs in hard legend. I just chased 267 in 19 overs in a casual match against australia. Then i switched to my 33 rated career player. I am easily scoring runs with him as...
well i just wanted another beta person's opinion...my bad...did not have any bad intention..apologies for spamming...excitement got the better of me...i hope all is well...peace
The ring field that AI selects is because it is saved as PREVENT BOUNDARIES in field type. They need to change it to maybe PREVENT SINGLES. This is why whenever you hit 2-3 boundaries the AI selects this field which completely kills immersion.
Though i agree AI field setting in general needs a...
Would love your comments on the following issues. How many have made the cut in this patch? And how many are work in progress for future patches?
1. Running between wickets
2. AI Field placements
3. Deep fielders should be few steps towards the boundary...this also results in AI not taking easy...
I am not criticising or anything. Was really looking forwards to this fix. Havent started my career solely due to this. But as long as they are working towards it, all is well. I guess as they say patience is virtue. Haha
With regards to AI fields, in dbc 17 i used to make good custom fields and the AI would choose custom fields. It solved most of the problem in terms of poor AI field placements. But post patch 2 or 3 in dbc 17, AI stopped choosing custom fields (it is the same in ashes cricket). The major...
The wides issue during short ball really needs to be sorted.
I am playing hardest legend
In 53 runs from 5.1 overs, there are already 28 wides. Ofcourse some have gone to the boundary.
It surely does not have as many bugs as dbc 17. But still there are similar annoying issues like poor AI field placements, poor running between wickets, ball going through the bat every now and the, lack of edges, easy six hitting, weird front foot pul shot on fuller deliveries, incorrect career...
Here are couple of videos of short ball wide problem. The first video is first ball of the match against aus and second video is 2nd or 3rd ball of the same match. The scorecard says 13 runs of 1 ball because of the wides (both wides went for 4).
