How do you live with semi-assisted fielding? It says L2 but I cannot get my players to dive for the life of me. It really costs a lot of runs, particularly when the AI can do it. I can do the tap back with Y but that's it.
I found batting on medium I was edging everything. Toned down the edges a tad and it became fun.
Bowling though, I have no idea how in a test to get the AI to get out by methods other than bowled, LBW and caught behind/slips.
Just wondering if anyone has some good custom sliders for long format cricket?
In particular, making the AI edge the ball less and get out with some catches in the infield and outfield. You just literally never see them...
Can anyone please update me on what the latest is for realistic gameplay sliders? I'm 2 tests into an ashes series and would love some sliders that yield a greater variety of wickets, i.e. having the AI actually hit some outfield and infield catches (yet to get one in 4 innings).
Hey all!
Just wondering what thoughts you have for test matches? I've had two cracking games, however there are sooo many edges. I have now taken 40 AI wickets and not a single catch aside from edges behind and slips.
Really loving the game, but I'm in my second Ashes test match and I just noticed that the Barmy Army has disappeared. Has anyone else had that? There are still crowd noises, but no lovable Barmy Army chants!
More edges? My first match there were about 6 caught behinds per innings, and add a few to the splits too.
I toned down edges for the humans in the slider to somewhere between easy and medium (vanilla medium i made 120....) and it seems better so far. I turned down the wicket chance in the...
What causes most of your wickets?
I did my first match on medium and 80% were edges. I thought it was a bit too much so I toned it down a bit in the sliders for edges, somewhere between easy and medium. I'm now 1/90 at lunch in game 2 so maybe I went too far but I also think I'm just batting...
This is the first Big Ant game where I've turned on the pitch marker and I must say it has made batting a lot more fun. Maybe I just have shit reflexes, but I found in previous games batting was too stressful and, even worse, I found myself pre-meditating all the time as I could never really...
Does anyone have a catalog of good sliders yet? I suppose this stuff really takes time to tinker with. I'm already one game into my Ashes series and it was loads of fun but I found both myself and the AI edging the ball too often, and I'd love to know how to turn that down before game 2.
Just finished my first Ashes game. It was low scoring but man it was fun. This game is truly superb. There are a couple of little kinks to iron out (too many edges, for example) but it's by far the best cricket game ever.
I'm curious to hear this too. I just did a test with batting on medium and I made about 240 and 110 (lol). With bowling I got them for 120 on medium but then upped it to hard and they successfully chased down 6/240ish. So I'm happy with that split of medium batting, hard bowling, but i find...
Based on playing one Ashes test match I would say that the amount of edges needs to be toned down drastically for both human and AI.
What can you recommend as the best way to do that?
