Agree with the general sentiment that this patch has helped a lot. Had one game in Career mode (legspin allrounder) and the bowling experience was so much better. Big Ant have fixed the Pro Cam jerkiness when bowling for which I am truly grateful and it is now back to its excellent smoothness...
Anyone else seen this? Happened during a career 1st class match. Pace bowler hit the stumps at his end with his bowling hand in his delivery stride. Given, rightly, a no ball....but was surprised when this happened.
Anyone use Pro Cam when bowling? I've just given the new patch a go and what used to be an excellent smooth experience is now motion-sickness inducing. I haven't tried this with pace bowling but bowling legspin in career mode it is a lot more twitchy than I remember it. Also noticed that the...
Played with latest patch in Career Mode. Generally felt a lot better than it did before. Can now drive through extra cover again and wicket keeper will take catches when standing up to the stumps. Still no stumpings possible and the overthrow issue where fielders just stand and ignore the ball...
I play mainly career mode and that as a leg spinner allrounder...and the wicket keeper, in that context, is useless unless you make them stand back rather than up to the stumps. If they are at the stumps they stop nothing and the ball will travel through them so they don't even block well. If...
This is a bug that has been carried over from previous versions of the game. Every so often the game will determine that a batter will be given out and they will then edge everything until they are caught or edge onto the stumps.
I've got to a weird situation where the 'days to next match' goes up rather than down. I started a session with 122 days to next match...and after hitting the A button a few times (and playing a match) I'm now up to 140 days to next match. Has anyone else seen this? Seems very glitchy.
I like...
I'm not sure if I'm just missing something obvious or there is an issue in Career Mode...any guidance welcome. So, I've made it out of club cricket and am playing First Class cricket for Durham. I then got selected for T20 also. Now on the main career screen is says that there are 122 days to my...
ProCam for bowling, despite being my preference, is also problematic as it won't follow the ball at all. You won't know that there was a catch at midwicket or cover until the fielding team celebrates because it all happens off camera.
I actually like the fact that timings are different for each action. I bowl in ProCam mode and like the fact that I need to make adjustments depending on the action of the bowler...it makes it more interesting and gives another element to the gameplay. If the timing is exactly the same for all...
Yes. I've noticed this too. The lighting seems to be very odd in this version and the position of the Sun doesn't seem to be accurate for geographical location and time of day. Often I've found first class cricket being played under floodlights in the dark too...I've never gone off for bad...
Merry Christmas/Holiday Season, everyone. I hope you all get the patches that you've been wishing for. Thanks for making this community the place that it is (and I mean that in a good way...have you seen the rest of the internet? Blimey!).
It depends on what platform. Xbox needs some updates. PS and PC are generally pretty good. From a batting perspective, things may get tweaked a little but the experience now (on PS and PC) is probably what we will end up with...particularly if you are primarily interested in Career Mode.
I suppose it falls under the 'cricket is a funny old game' banner. Anything can potentially happen in cricket so 62-0 after 14 even with those settings is possible. If after playing the same game 10 or more times, this was typical, then that would be disappointing. That said, I do agree that...
I'm not so bothered by the AI pulling balls from so far outside off stump...though it would be nice if this induced the chance of more errors (inside edge onto stumps, leading edge popping up for a chance of a catch) rather than whistled to the boundary every time. I'm more bothered by the...
Although I've mainly played in Career Mode, and generally liked the improvements. I had a go at playing The Ashes and noticed that the opposing fielders hit the stumps on pretty much every return throw no matter where they are throwing from. Has this always been the case or has this just...
Has anyone seen an umpire a) signal two for the over on above shoulder-height deliveries and b) no-balled a bowler for bowling excessive bouncers? I had Pat Cummins send down 6 very short balls in an over and the umpire only noted the first.
I agree. It is great to see this amount of variation in Cricket 22...the actions also seem to require subtle variations on timing to get right when bowling (or at least that's how it appears when bowling in Pro Cam).
But why, oh why, is Ross and the BA team umpiring at international level? Why...
I'm not having any issues with straight drives on front foot or back foot. I think Cricket 22 is the first version where straight drives work for me. In fact, I think batting is generally pretty good in Cricket 22. However, I accept that individual experience may vary...particularly on different...
