But the Aussie middle order and tail enders put on a formidable display to end the innings 368 all out. I'm in now (England)....teetering on 188 for 6. I love this game.
Welcome. I'm having problems too choosing field settings so can't help you there......BUT when bowling with fasts/medium bowlers try standard deliveries with more variations of seam position. And inswingers can get outside edges.....and my fave delivery for last ball of the over is to choose...
I've played the short form of the game sice I bought it. Preferring 50 over games. I have the house to myself this weekend and I reckon now is the time to try a 5 day game. Anyone got any suggestions or advice so as to ease me into the longer game format?
I've played a few 50 overs matches with the batting sliders turned off and indeed the batting strokes look more authentic and I'm enjoying batting. I'm gonna stay with batting sliders off.
I haven't played a womens game Caz. I might try one now purely in the hope that the gameplay is better than a mens game. If I can get a better gameplay experience playing the women's game then I will be delighted to play it. All I want from the game is good gameplay.........wherever it comes from.
Has anyone tried bowling the 'bouncer' delivery from a fast/medium bowler but choose a full or yorker length to go with it?
It sounds weird but I reckon this ball foxes batsmen (on the difficulty that I play on anyway) and I like to use it on the last ball of the over. Can sometimes bowl a nice...
Credit where credit is due. I've just finished a most enjoyable 50 overs match with the batting modifiers OFF. The batting was much better. Shot animations were more realistic and were the strokes that I was trying to play with the right analogue stick. Some aberrations of stroke play were still...
The advanced defensive shot must be there somewhere. I'm playing on Xbox one and I'm going to try some different shot modifier permutations next time I fire the game up. I'm hoping pressing left shoulder button at same time as clicking right thumb stick and moving it to the 6 o'clock position...
.
I'll give batting a go with modifier OFF for a couple of 50 over games. If it helps me score a few more runs that I usually score or ( more importantly to me) makes the whole batting experience more enjoyable, I'll be straight on here to thank you Kiran.
I only play T20 and 50 over matches and if I was to hazzard a guess at the wicket percentages they would be :-
50% Keeper catches.
20% Bowled.
10% LBW.
10% Slip catches.
10% Outside circle/boundary catches.
I play on amateur level with medium slider settings. Would be interesting if the...
How does the batting with batting sliders off actually work? Does the game play as the devs intended it to play on first release. I've tried batting with sliders both on and off.....and haven't noticed much difference.
I'm playing on Xbox one and fancied an hour batting practice in the nets. Problems.......delivery length indicator (coloured ring around ball) doesn't show early enough and there is no ball pitching marker. Changing gameplay sliders doesn't seem to make any difference. Any advice would be...
One shot that I can't play well is the backfoot square cut to a short length ball pitching about (relatively scalewise) 12-18 inches outside off stump. Left stick to 6 o'clock right stick to 3 o'clock (right handed)......no good!!! Should left stick be going to 7........or maybe 5 o'clock?
Is foot placement just about pushing thumbstick up to 12 o'clock for a front foot shot and back to 6 o'clock for back foot shot? I've tried up and down diagonal movements with the left stick.....with no obvious improvement to batting.
Oh......I just presumed that clicking modifiers ON the game would play with the chosen modifier input and clicking modifiers OFF would play the game without inputting the modifier skills. I'm totally confused now.
