I've altered the umpire slider settings so often in my quest for 'better/improved' umpiring decisions that they are probably totally out of whack/counter productive now. How can I find the original settings? If I open a new gameplay slider menu show the original umpire settings?

No worries. There are usually some bugs on the release of all games. It's if and how they get rectified that's the issue and I reckon Microsoft will put out as many patches as required.
