Just got a batsman nicked behind after persisting with a outside off-stump line. Fantastic!! The number of edges can be improved a tad but it's way better than unpatched game. Now if you plan to get out a batsman caught-behind by bowling a persistent away from the body line, you'll definitely be...
This is the first game which I have bought Thrice (PS3, Steam and Retail collector's edition). I believe in the simple mantra that best way of showing appreciation to the developers is actually buying the game.
A big thanks to BigAntStudios for creating a truly wonderful cricket game. Sure it...
Here are couple of videos of the wickets that I really enjoyed taking. Except one clip, all other video contain my career leggie creating some wonderful dismissals. Apologies for the poor quality.

5 more long days to go. It's a bit easier to wait since I've the PS3 version of the game to play but the PC version with most of the bugs fixed is going to be a much better than experience than the PS3.
Good thing is that I probably don't have to worry about my PC not being able to run it...
@OP, I had similar problems spinning the ball with the PS3 controller. For a week I tried perfecting the rotation thinking that somehow I was getting the rotation wrong. Then I borrowed another PS3 controller from a friend and found out that the stick wasn't registering the rotations properly...
Happened quite a bit when I started playing the game as many a times I forgot to push all the combos to play a particular shot.
There is one that stands out for me. I was playing match practice against an off-spinner. I played the front-foot, bat-behind-pad kind of leave. The ball turned and...
MAttW did mention that while bowling the pace seemed steady. I sincerely hope BigAntStudios have fixed the bowler's pace issue (i.e.. getting knackered after 4-5 overs and bowling 125Kmph for the rest of the match). I totally love the new bowling experience other than this stamina issue.
Yes I've managed to play quite a few 'manufactured' shots to the off-side like inside out towards cover or backing away and cutting a ball on middle stump towards third man or by just making room with good footwork (straight down or towards legside). But I sort of really miss the those wide...
One thing I've noticed in this 99.94b update is that the AI hardly bowls delivery where I can freely play shots to the off-side (Legend difficulty). Most of the time AI is targetting the stumps. I remember when the Nets first came out AI used to bowl few wide half-volleys or short balls outside...
Well I have no problem with the exaggerated drift in the game as that is the only way to prevent people from scoring 20+ RPO of a spinner. My intention was to point out that the implementation is unrealistic/exaggerated.. whatever you may want to call it.
Sometimes It's just not right IMO, as a...
The bolded part is what I'm trying to point out. I hope you have noticed that the drift in air sometimes as if a medium pacer bowling outswingers and then after pitching it turns in. It is indeed too pronounced.
Also if you watch this video, you'll notice that a trajectory of a left-arm offie...
You are missing the point completely. It's just not about drifting away, but the 'way' it drifts away or the trajectory of drift. Watch the trajectory of Swann drifting it away and then compare it with the trajectory of a similar delivery in Nets.
Just goes on to show the point I'm trying to...
You are entitled to your opinion as I am to mine.
For a offie or leggie bowling over the wicke to a RH batsman I have not seen ANY off-spinner bowling an off-break which swerves or drifts away like an out-swinger like it does in Nets and then turns in. For that matter neither have I seen a...
One thing I want to bring it to attention is the way the ball drifts when a facing spin deliveries.
When the machine is bowling off-spin Over the Wicket to a RH batsman, the ball drifts outwards and then turns in after pitching... i.e it drifts from L to R of the screen and then turns in.
I...
I know that we can choose the bowling machine to bowl Seam, Inswing or Outswing. But is there any way where the bowling machine will randomly select the type of delivery and bowl it rather than setting it tow bowl one type from the deliveries available?
Wow!! Why is it so hard for people to understand a simple notion of setting something up INTENTIONALLY to show a particular aspect of the game???
If someone could retrieve and post the first reply of Ross (the one before Mikey) regarding the video, I think it would be easier for people to...
Ross, you mentioned that there'll be a video explaining the batting and bowling controls. It ain't coming out this week as you've already mentioned that it'll be a video showcasing the BARS. When can we expect the video to be up? A time frame would be nice!
Also, if you can talk about this, then...
In case of the 2nd batsman, direction of seam rotation of the ball changed after it had hit the bat. The attention to detail is truly incredible. Also it means that the physics system is well implemented in the game.
Wonderful stuff!
