He said that there was some bug detected in the CA version that was supposed to go live today. He wasn't sure whether the code can be tested today or not. He didn't want people to hang around and get disappointed at the end of the day so he postponed it along with the announcement.
This update...
Ross has confirmed that there won't be any CA update or announcements this week, those have been postponed to next week.
We will get some screenshots at exactly 6PM Melbourne time. He also mentioned that those screenshots will highlight some unseen features of the game.
Except for the first 'Jumpy' defensive shot, all the other shots looks FANTASTIC. The cover drive is certainly the best cover drive I've ever seen in a cricket game.
The most striking thing is the fluidity of the animation. The way the batsman was moving in to the shot was just amazing.

Since you don't have ANY idea about why I need to go to college on Friday or not, it would be better if you keep these inane and ludicrous questions to yourself.
I'm so excited about Friday.. if only I could bunk college tomorrow.. but I can't. Hopefully I'll be able to get back from volunteering without missing much. Looking forward to the gameplay video!!:cheers
Can't believe I'm checking this awesomeness of a thread after almost 6 hours since original post.:mad Was volunteering at a seminar and got pretty tired at the end of it. But after seeing this thread, I'm as lively as anything!!
Hands coming off the bat due to playing early.. By the Nine...
I know you probably can't answer this at this point of time.. but I hope you've also taken care of the game being available in India on the same date as it will be for the rest of the world. :)
Just read about the spin bowling controls. That will definitely take some practice to become good at.
Can't wait for Mikey to spill the beans about batting. :D
It's okay to be greedy at times.
So after we start the run-up, if we don't pull back on the RAS, then the bowler will just go through the crease? i.e.. sort of pull away from delivering the ball. Is that correct?
His team has put so much effort into almost every little detail of the game. I'm pretty sure that Ross has taken care of the gameplay aspect as well. I can't remember if there was a game about which I was excited like this.. maybe Mass Effect 3?
Just imagine if BAC really goes on to...
Was just thinking about the new bowling controls and it's implications. I think one can say with certainty that the uncertainty (pun intended) of bowling can be finally emulated in game.
All the cricket games that we've had so far always utilised the reticule system. If you put in 1-2hrs into...
Probably it's a bit early to ask, but Ross can you tell us whether you will be releasing the game in India on the same date as the rest of the world? Also, will the Downloadable version be released on the same day as that of Disk release?
Ross or Mike, can you tell us whether we will be able to change the length during the run-up till the ball is bowled?
Say we have selected a full-length delivery but during running in the batsman has started to advance. So can we now pull the length back so that we can bowl a bouncer?
Yep.. totally agree with you. Probably in this game we will need to spend more time practicing bowling than batting! (Can't believe I'm saying this).
In batting, we need to judge the length, movement in the air or off the pitch, timing and placement. These things will remain pretty much same...
