That's all the game is though...
The game isn't at a point where users who have paid their hard-earned can sit and enjoy it (or even access parts of it) so it's not surprising the general discussion thread is filled with complaints about bugs.
This is a genuine question and I'm not trying to make a joke, but does BA test the game before releasing a patch? Because some of the issues are so glaringly obvious from ball-one that surely they were evident if testing was taking place.
If testing is happening and the patch is still released...
Thanks for all of that. Great analysis and insight and makes me really feel that BA have put some variation into the game.
My only issue with it is that no matter where the ball pitches, turns, bounces etc the AI batsmen always know whether it's hitting the stumps or not so automatically leave...
I voiced concerns weeks before release saying that it was a worry that all of the hype was around some cut scenes in career mode and a new run out mechanic, rather than of actual gameplay. The idea seemed clear that BA wanted to bring in more casual cricket fans with a fancier looking game with...
It's a shambles really that we're at this stage. Ross can be as awkward as he wants on twitter but he should be embarrassed by the product that his company has released. Its obvious that they don't test the game or test the patches as the issues are evident from ball one in-game and sometimes...
Is there a way of not accepting the new patch and keeping the game as it is. I'm two games into an Ashes series at the moment and it's playing relatively OK. Don't want to mess that up with BAs game breaking patch
It's good if you can still edge it defending as I'm pretty certain I'm the past if I could be arsed I could save any test by just pressing defend every ball.
OK to follow up on this, I made 310 in 85 overs. Burns scoring 115, Buttler 75 and then minor contributions from the rest. Some poor shots from me for some dismissals probably Root aside who was caught behind driving a half volley outside off stump.
There's about 20 overs left of day 3 with...
I created a set of sliders that basically creates a road. Tested it out at the Gabba in the first ashes test.
Australia won the toss and batted first. It was a hard slog bowling for 130 overs and I eventually had them all out for 477. I was expecting them to make 500+ to be honest when they...
Possibly yes, the sim engine probably takes no notice of the sliders. So out of interest I started a test at the Gabba, currently 65 overs into the day and have Australia 225/4 so that seems a bit more realistic.
Harris and Warner were both run out with the new fangled system which seems too...
Think until these crashes are fixed I'll stop playing career mode. I also have a left-handed batter so scoring runs is not that difficult when you're given buffet bowling on leg all the time.
Really struggling with this, even with wicket chance way down the AI scores are low. Quite a few under 200 and some even under 100.
Simming a test at the Gabba between Australia and England on hard dry pitch.
Quick update, I've done 3 difficulty settings for a turning pitch - Days 1/2, 3/4 and Day 5. The idea is that it gets progressively harder to bat as the match goes on, particularly against spin.
I simulated 4 tests between England and India at the default kolkata stadium - dusty, medium and...
On C19 I created difficulty settings for areas of the world for each day of a test. As well as one for ODIs and one for t20s. It doesn't take into account that different grounds produce different conditions in the same country.
So this time I'm going to create settings purely for a green top...
The AI bowling leg side balls is game breaking for me at the moment. Everything else is working pretty well for me but my career player is a left handed batter and I can milk easy runs on the leg side every single over. I have to stop myself doing it every ball just for a bit more realism
Surely BA would be better off saving their time, money and resources and not having any commentary in the game. The energy and money spent doing commentary (badly) could be spent making the actual gameplay realistic.
Nailing commentary in a sports game, particularly one with as many variables...
