I'm a spinner in career mode and the super human short legs have been replaced by the super human 2nd slip. My very first test and 4 of my 5 wickets were caught by a diving Crawley at 2nd slip.
Fair play, I've just had another go on it and it does work so apologies, it's fairly subtle but it's there. I think my confusion was that the camera still zooms in to the point where the ball is leaving the bowler's hand. But with slider way down it then does a little zoom back out again as the...
Just tried it myself and you're spot on, absolutely no change whatsoever. I'm sorry but that is an unbelievable level of incompetence.
Does nobody test this before it gets sent out?!
Yeah it does seem as if line and length offers absolutely no challenge to the AI. I've bowled 96mph rockets, out-swinging deliveries, starting outside leg and missing off stump by millimetres (so basically an unplayable delivery) and the batsman just leaves like I've sent a wide down at 70mph...
I definitely faced more aggressive batting when bowling to Pant and Kohli in a test than any other Indian batsmen.
As a sample size it's small as it's only 1 test but it happened in both innings.
You know what will happen though, they'll slow down keeper reactions for those superhuman catches and they won't have the reactions to run someone out.
Overall the game is playing well now and the majority of the major issues have been fixed or at least improved to the point where the game is able to be enjoyed.
Few issues I'm finding. For context I'm playing a test between England (me) and India.
The ball deterioration is broken. I'm 6 overs...
This was the latest wicket, Wood with a sort of misdirected slower bouncer that Thakur slashes to point. Shame about the lack of head on the fielder again...
India are going at about 3.6 an over although it was up near 4 when Kohli and Pant were in.
Yeah because they had stumps flying out the ground from every hit before they're now rock solid and hitting them is like hitting a brick wall.
I use arcade controls for bowling. I'm using my own custom sliders to try and replicate a batting-friendly wicket, and hopefully with a couple of big...
Into my WTC match as England vs India at the Oval using my batting paradise sliders. I made 540-odd in the first innings and as you can see India going well 238-3. Kohli and Pant have put on a great partnership until this...have to say I was quite pleased with it. I actually thought he'd edged...
Was just about to post the exact same thing. Overall the broadcast dynamic camera is great but way too zoomed in on the batsman. If you're watching cricket on TV the camera slowly moves with the bowler but on release of the ball you can still see most of the cut strip. With this you can just...
Looks good in the main. A few nice additions as well as a general clean up. Not sure what's happening with the Bumrah caught and bowled but we can't have everything :lol
I started a Test Championship last week as Emgland whose first opponents are India. I dialled down all the Indian stats down to either 6 (Kohli, Sharma) to 5 (the rest of the batters) and then 1/2 for Bumtah, Shami etc. I might have to put them back up now reading this.
True, but I'm sure that once they fix it it stays fixed. If BA were doing it they'd fix it but corners and throw ins would be taken out.
I'm praying to the gaming gods that this latest patch gets us back on track but in reality it's probably not moving us further forward, more back to where we...
Yeah all of those being in the game would be absolutely fantastic but at this stage we're still seeing players walk through each other so I wouldn't hold your breath.
