BA will never win with commentary. It will never be interactive or have enough depth for some. Sports games struggle with commentary for obvious reasons. I'd rather they ignored it and concentrated more on the game's AI and improving the general gameplay.

Would absolutely love this. In fact, add this in, AI's awareness of game situations and sort the run outs and there's very little else that needs to change.

One other thing I will add is that I bowled almost 25 overs in a County game and 10 overs in a 50 over game with my leg-spinner and never had an easy short leg catch and only had one run out. Granted my seaming conditions sliders have run rate at about 22 so the AI might not take risky runs...

Had a few sweeps go for runs in front of square then a few more orthodox. To be fair the batsmen worked me around quite well.

Also, I'm halfway through day 2 and the pitch hasn't changed. Grassy, soft, pitch wear -fast. Please don't tell me that visible pitch wear has gone again? Edit: scrap that. I'm halfway through Day 3 now and it's definitely deteriorated. I can relax again now...

Great idea. Oval for flatter, bat-friendly conditions, Trent Bridge for swing and seam, Old Trafford for pace and bounce. I like it.

To be honest as unrealistic as it is I'd prefer that to the keeper taking an absolute age to gather the ball and take the bails as at least this way there's a sense of jeopardy in taking a risky run.

I don't disagree, we certainly should be at that stage. But because we're not the sliders change, at least for me, is the only way to bring a sense of realism to it. I cant speak for everyone but I don't change my sliders all the time, at the start of day 4 I'll change it to the Day 4/5 set...

Agreed and as I posted previously if you just have different slider sets saved for different circumstances (e.g. day 1 set and a day 5 set) you can make the ball behave differently anyway. It's obviously preferable if it does it automatically but if it at least looks more worn then I'm happy.

I wouldn't rely on the game reproducing realistic conditions so if you're playing on a green top I'd have a specific set of sliders to reflect that. I have a Green Top Day 1/2/3 slider set and another separate one for days 4/5. For me if its a green top it should in theory be a low-scoring...

I found in either 19 or 22 (cant remember which now) if you actually play the full match you'll see visual pitch wear (no real impact other than aesthetic) but if you simmed to the 4th day and started playing it would look like day 1.
