As I have already said, increasing bowling ability by 1%, 10%, 100% or 1000% will all make the player worse at bowling. So, I think the results you are seeing are consistent with that.

No, I am telling you that 101% is worse than 100%.

If you increase bowling ability by 1%, it will make the player slightly worse at bowling. If you want to make him slightly better, try -1%.
