Lol... so they fixed human AI running and transferred that delay in running to AI batsmen. Didn't check it myself as I spent my time on human batting but funny to see if AI runners dance around before taking a run :lol
Yup, if you're late it should result in an edge or the ball should go into the ground and dribble to fielders with reduced pace. Or it should lob in the air if you're late on the pull/hook shot. But for drives, early timing should result in the dismissal shown in the video you uploaded.
I hope so
Don't think I can jump through hoops to capture inputs and videos on PS4, and as you said they can check it out for themselves to see what we're seeing based on the information we've captured so far.
Yup I did but didn't work for me. AI still continued to use their fields with nobody on the Cover boundary. But would love to know what're the attributes you, and others used, and any other things you did for AI to pick your fields.
Agreed it's a cop out saying "send us a video". I mean we've articulated the ball only travels a few pre-set areas and how will video prove anything? I can put up a video of a Cover drive going straight to a cover fielder and saying I moved RS to a 3'o clock position and the ball went to cover...
Haven't created preset fields in Cricket 22 yet. I tried doing so in Cricket 19 but AI never used the fields I created but will give it a shot once other issues are fixed.
I agree with what you've mentioned. Cricket 22 can be a fun game but not a batting simulator we were hoping for and definitely a downgrade at the moment on batting side. And yup, the age old problem of left handed bowlers bowling to right handers, or right handers bowling against left handers...
I've to double check that but I don't believe it changed much from how it was behaving before patch. But changing the ball marker display time does show the line & length marker around the ball earlier (at least this is what it looked to me) - I'm talking about the green/yellow/red circle around...
There are way too many gaps at the moment. The core gameplay is broken, or random, at best. To get to the point where AI fields and field sets are the main problem. Big Ant will need to make big improvements to the game.
They've taken Cricket 19, didn't address the items that needed to be...
Ok, I finally got the latest patch (1.03) on PS4 in North America and spent some time playing the game. Here are my observations on batting and for more detailed information regarding the patch, please see the post at the following link...
Ok, I finally got the latest patch (1.03) on PS4 in North America and spent some time playing the game. Here are my observations...
Match setup and slider settings:
1. I played a Tets match as England vs Australia at Gabba (Medium, Dry pitch).
2. Packed the England team with right handers...
I'm hoping so Zim. It's been a challenge with so many console versions and patches floating around. I'll keep a look out for the latest patch on PS4 and see if I get a different batting experience. At the moment the arc between Cover fielder and Point region is still inaccessible to me against...
I seem to be getting patches as I get notifications when a new patch is downloaded and/or installed - at least I seem to be getting PS4 system patches and patches for other games. Plus I was able to connect to online community and that should mean I've the latest version else I wouldn't have...
Thanks for the info! I'm seeing 'vLocal' in credits and that's what was confusing me as I've never seen a version number other than a random string of numbers (e.g., 1.0.0.1.0.2 etc.)
But the issue still remains - batting through the off side is not a good experience and I still can't play the...
I guess "wait and watch" is the way to go but yeah this discrepancy in batting experience across users in weird. Maybe it's a disconnect between folks who are hard core batting fans - at least I am - and others who either focus on bowling or are not too fussed about batting that much. Or it's...
IMO at the moment Cricket 19 definitely is a better game as far as batting experience is concerned and as you can see from my experience looking at the wagon wheels I posted in the OP.
But I would hold off for a few more weeks to see how Cricket 21 evolves. Big Ant is obviously trying to sort...
Folks,
Have a question for those of you who are on PS4... I was trying to find the version no. of Cricket 22 I've installed and this is the info I was able to find :-
1. Went to Settings->Credits and the Version id showing up for me is 'vLocal' under my psn id on the bottom right hand corner of...
This is the confusing part for me. I'm having a very similar experience as you where the ball goes to a few select spots in the field on the off side (e.g., Cover or Point) and if there's a fielder placed there, the only option to hit the boundary is through the gap between mid off and cover...
This is what gets me... I, and a few others, are facing this exact challenge while some others aren't. Almost looks like there're multiple versions of the game, and depending on certain attributes (location, console etc.) you get a particular version. Multiple patches, slider settings and...
