Zim, it's quite disheartening and deflating to look back and see the current state of cricket gaming. I recall playing Brian Lara 2005 (BLIC 2005) and thinking that if Codemasters could build on that version, we will have a great game on our hands. Felt the same way with EA 2007 which introduced...
Thanks so much for confirming! I've reverted to Cricket 19 for the time being as I can't really play a game where I'm unable to drive through covers. Cricket 22's release is reminiscent of DBC 17. It says a lot that Cricket 19 DLC was superior to Cricket 22, and disappointing as I was expecting...
AI has always been able to play shots which human players couldn't. But Big Ant need to take a closer look at re-designing the batting controls and have a true 360 degree shot making which was actually present in Ashes Cricket 09 and International Cricket 2010. Currently the shot direction is...
And looks like others are having the same experience as can be seen in the following thread...

Yup, the challenge is with the pace bowlers primarily. Earlier we couldn't play forward defensive shot...
Thanks a lot for confirming and I did the same thing as well... I jumped back on Cricket 19 and found I could indeed drive between Cover fielder and Point in the game. I do this test every game post DBC 17 which launched without cover drive in the game. And Cricket 22 is similar - the only...
Thanks for the info. I'm playing with Pro controls (left stick for footwork, and right one for shot direction & timing), and I'm really struggling at the moment. I've tried all the difficulties - went down to Easy as well to make sure I wasn't missing anything - and tried pushing right stick in...
That's what I'm seeing as well. I can't play standard/regular shots & drives through covers, which IMO is a concern. You shouldn't be playing aggressive shots, or need to use triggers, just to drive a ball through the cover region.
Thanks for confirming and I appreciate it!
Yup, done it but I guess they won't do much unless they hear from others as well else it will be bumped down in their "To do" list. Give it a go.
Try driving the ball through covers between the Cover fielder and Point. Even with the right stick aimed at 3'0 clock for a right handed batsman (Pro...
Folks, really need your help with something... is anyone able to drive the ball between Cover fielder and Point? I've tried doing so again post the latest patch n PS4 but as mentioned in OP all my cover drives go left of Cover fielder, i.e. through extra-cover region. I'm unable to drive the...
Is anyone able to drive the ball between Cover fielder and Point? I've tried doing so again post the latest patch on PS4 but as mentioned in OP all my cover drives go left of Cover fielder, i.e. through extra-cover region. I'm unable to drive the ball in the arc between Cover fields and Point...
@WealeyH , @Ken Tremendous , there are a few sliders around ball/pitch bounce - spinner ball bounce, pitch bounce, and also another one called 'ball bounce' . Which sliders did you guys change to get a better gaming experience?
I would recommend holding off on the purchase if you can. Earlier I thought the worst case scenario would be that the game is similar to Cricket 19 but I was wrong. The game seems unfinished at the moment and no amount of sliders will fix the overthrows & byes - the fielding, byes & overthrows...
I was looking forward to Cricket 22 and finally got around to playing Cricket 22 for an extended period of time. I loved what Big Ant team had done with the Cricket 19 DLC, and I was cautiously optimistic about Cricket 22. But after spending some time with Cricket 22, I must say I'm...
Folks,
Starting a new thread as I believe this issue warrants a separate thread. I'm playing Cricket 22 and am facing issues similar to the ones we faced in DBC 17 where the game was released without a proper cover drive. At the moment I'm seeing similar behavior with cricket 22 where I'm not...
Folks, quick question... how do you select custom difficulty in a match created using 'Play Now' option? You can select match settings, stadiums, pitch and lineups, but I can't see any option where I can specify a custom difficulty the way I could in Cricket 19. It only allows me to select the...
After following the T20 WC, I finally understand how the AI in Cricket 19 wins chasing any score. Big Ant were ahead of the time and had the "chase to win" feature built in :yes
Same as Cricket 19. You get pitch types "Grassy/Dusty" or "Grassy/Dry" along with "Green", "Standard", "Dry", "Dusty". You also have Pitch Hardness ranging from "Soft" to "Medium" to "Hard", and Pitch Condition from "Day 1" to "Day 5". On top of that you have an option for pitch deterioration...
