    Agar

Anyone else get the feeling that he is going to become a prolific middle order batsman rather than spinner?

    Not "walking" = cheating (?)

So if you claim a catch that you know you grassed and the umpire doesnt see it, are you cheating?

    Bowlers not bowling fast

Probably in an effort to prolong the careers of modern fast bowlers. I guess they are opting play longer bowling 140kmph rather than plaguing themselves with injuries bowling 150+. The last true 150kmph bowler of this age was Shaun Tait and look where he ended up... I think it is better to bowl...

Memories from the first match you witnessed inside a stadium

My first match I don't remember too much of. I was around 6 years old and It was a India v NSW tour match in Sydney back when I used to live in Australia. I remember watching the Indian players at nets and got to see everyone up close. Sachin already had an aura about him. I remember he walked...

India tour of South Africa - 2013/14

I am a bit worried about Vijay at the top of the order as well but we have to remember that he scored runs in the last test series he played. Will be good to keep an eye on the A tour to see his progress in SA conditions. Yeah, wonder what will happen to Jadeja in SA. I was a doubter, but he...

India tour of Zimbabwe(over and can be closed)

I am looking forward to this mainly for Pujara. Would like to see him get stuck in and cement a place in the ODI team. I think that he can be valuable as an opener in ODIs, especially to partner someone like Shikhar Dhawan. But it seems as if he will be playing at number 4. Rohit Sharma...

1st Test: England v Australia at Nottingham Jul 10-14, 2013

Going to be very difficult. For the first time ever I am rooting for Australia in an Ashes series. Fingers firmly crossed for a miracle...

The PlanetCricket View: Ricky Ponting?s final first-class innings

Man, how much I wish Ponting would come back into the Australian XI for this last series. Would love to see it! We can only dream at this point.

    Not "walking" = cheating (?)

If bowlers can get fined for over appealing, ball tampering, or a fielder gets bashed for claiming a grassed catch (eg: Ramdin) than batsman should certainly get the same treatment for not walking. I'm not talking about the faint edges, but in this case Broad absolutely middled the ball almost...

I still don't understand why it is such a big deal if Meyippan bet on games. Yeah it is illegal but it is not equivalent to fixing games. IMO betting should be made legal so it is regulated - it is really stupid that it is illegal IMO, leads to unregulated seedy business that leads to all this crap.

    Health/Diet/Weight Loss/Fitness Management

I've been at both ends of the spectrum. Used to be too chubby, now i'm too skinny. However, let me say this - there are no 'tricks' to losing weight. It is a simple equation, you have to burn more calories than you consume. Only then will your body use the reserve energy (aka your fat) to fuel...

ICC Champions Trophy 2013 - England & Wales

iirc Irfan took a 5-fer in the last ODI series he played (in fact the last ODI match he played: 5th ODI: Sri Lanka v India at Pallekele, Aug 4, 2012 | Cricket Scorecard | ESPN Cricinfo) I've been impressed with his comeback and I think he can do well for India in English conditions. However, I'm...

    Champions League Chennai Super Kings

Morkel stays but he needs to bat more! He should bat over Bravo especially if there is less than 3 overs to go. What I loved most about our performance v DD was the bowling. Everyone got a wicket! Love it when we share the love :thumbs:thumbs Looking ahead - gotta make room for Faf. Can't...

Who's the next-best batsman after Bradman?

I am not going to comment on batsman I have not seen. I guess that doesn't really help much... but over the last two decades few batsmen have gotten close to Sachin Tendulkar. The only batsmen in the same league are Ponting and Lara. It is not only the amount of runs that these guys have...
