Who's nervous for the World Cup announcements? I haven't been this nervous since the Sydney FC and St George Dragons Grand Finals in March and October respectively.
Both Sydney and St George won their Grand Finals, so hopefully Australia can cap off an amazing year with the World Cup for 2022!
Covvy, he's not a consistently high-scorer, but he's a consistent 30 odd run maker which is the reliability we need at that number 6 now. Much better than North batting 10 balls then getting out.
I draw almost all my FC games with NSW in the first season. Now completed three seasons but I rarely win, it's frustrating. Won the OD last year though with a Hauritz 46* off 19 winning it from an impossible position against Victoria which was good. Apart from that, it's very frustrating. I'm...
Unnecessary shot. 222 run lead with two and a bit sessions to play in Day 3, no real need for fast runs yet. Sensible batting and we'll have a 350-450 run lead with at least a day to bowl them out.

Now Smith is gone. Ridiculous.
Yeah good point mate, we were better in the first half in my opinion, and if we could of went 2-3 goals up then who knows what would of happened. But credit to Spurs for their excellent second half. It was all in all a good end to end game and draw would of probably been fair.
Hey lads,
New posts section is very handy, but I was wondering if it's possible/worthwhile to have a "replies to threads you've posted in" section or something along those lines. Or is there already a way to do this?
Cheers.
I wouldn't say we were dominated, we should of been 2 or 3 goals up at half time for sure. I thought Konchesky was our worst on the pitch, though Soto stuffed up the one real thing he had to do unfortunately.
The biggest problem for Australia this Ashes is England will be adamant with a 0-0 series, and we don't have the quality in bowlers to take wickets if they want to bat for a draw. Well at least it doesn't appear that way.
Saw this thread coming from you Insomniac from a mile away. Wouldn't be an Ashes series, or a big series involving Australia, without you making a thread against Ponting - got in early though. I suppose we'll see a few more as the series goes on.
Of course it is. I agree tbh. Half the crowd at every test in Australia are people who just rock up because it's an 'event' and 'johnzon score duh fast runz & take lots of wicket'.
When we're getting caned, those people wont turn up.
Maxi's finishing was dreadful, but he got himself into some wonderful areas to create chances. When Coles back I think we'll see him dropped, or Ngog and Kuyt striker.
Anyway, depressing morning. Stoppage time loss and draw United away.
