    Cricket 24 - General Discussion

All this talk has made me go back to DBC14. Been a long while since I last touched it. see how it goes.

Also, dunno whether you heard but Ross has started a new band called C-Unit. Lots of potential but the first single off the upcoming album is just a rehash of the stuff from their last one but with worse sound mixing.

Tis a real shame that I'm going to have to wait a while to get a 600 ball 50* with Nick Browne on this game but I cannot, in all good conscience, buy a game that is better in some areas and worse in others than the one I already has that still has better community potential and isn't going to be...

Yeha, This is where I am and have just explained it to my GF so I have someone looking disapprovingly at me if I accidentally try to impulse buy it.

Aye, forty quid on Steam isnae too bad, but it's not worth the outlay yet. I got '22 at launch and as decent as it got it did not start that way and with the missing faces etc and no community stuff just yet it doesn't seem really worth the jump. Remember we couldn't do defensive shots early...

    Cricket 24 - General Discussion

Has this been the worst thread in PC history? Probably. Do I still keep checking it every day just in case some actual news comes out? Yes. Do I ever learn? No

That Lockdown tourny showcased all the brilliance and flaws of the AI and the engine. Some real good data points.

Aye that's the biggest disconnect in the game if you ask me.

Agreed with that. I thought the bowling was good and fun in cricket 09/10 but the re-mapping of bowling controls and how we bowl was a great innovation of the BA games.

And maybe a retro game mode where defending is key. None of this Bazball shite. You know, like 737 ball 50s are the norm.

Not having the AI batsman switch suddenly from fine to edging everything because the algorithm has decided it is time for them to be out would be nice. It's frustrating to bowl an over of excellent deliveries being left superbly or middled and then another over the same being edged all over the...

Cricket 22: Stories, scorecards, screenshots, epic matches: (Share your most memorable moments | No videos)

Created 3 new grounds for the Scottish Team to have test matches in and invited Ireland for a test series. It started at the Clydeside where Ireland won the toss and elected to bat and Josh Davey got off to a flyer. Scotland batted well enough to establish a decent lead with opener Jones...

I am assuming it's because the competition is defaulting to start in January which will be why that's happening.

Would love to see wicket-keeping really take off in the next career mode. Work really hard and become a solid bat and an excellent keeper but then never get picked coz the captain's mate fancies the job instead. 1687191759 Yes Ben, that is a sub-post

Hoping for some realism in Career mode. For example if you bat below 4rpo as an Englishman you get dropped from the test side or if you open competently Australia don't pick you or if you're Indian and you have a penchant for bottling finals they call you up to the test side.

Then I buy ten copies on release and try and get a 1000 ball century on each of them and don't sleep until I do. Obviously.

Cricket 22 was really disappointing on release and took a long while to get to the decent area it is now. I've been an early adopter for all the cricket titles since '14 but am gonna hold off this time I think.
