I remember this being a problem in 14 also where the back foot shots would cause the batsman to move awkwardly sideways leaving the stumps completely exposed. Another area needing addressing
I don't think we are at 'No Man's Bradman' level as I think most of the bugs etc are fixable. I just hope that they are fixed because I can see a cracker of a game under the surface here. The lack of 360 batting for me seems very important. Fielding needs tightening as singles are far too easy...
I just found out - totally out of my depth there - it's a pity it's not a simple 'fill' in spaces sort of deal. The outline sketch by itself works as a logo but it would be good to fill it in with colours.
They are logos for my local cricket team. I have them both in PNG form What is your advice for getting them down to an appropriate size? Thanks a million for any assistance!
It doesn't look like the console version has any import function which is disappointing!
I finally got around to capturing it - compare the one from 14 in my previous post to this one -
It looks like the batsman is playing with his kids in the backyard and should have a stubby in one hand...I hope BA still have access to that DBC 14 cut shot animation
I totally agree - ive said elsewhere that the cutshot and square cut look really awkward. There is one in particular which I will get a photo of later which looks like something my nan played yesterday at our xmas bbq.
I think this is one of the most important posts since release - I have been checking out the AI's wheels too and noticing that their shots are limited in a similar way which is interesting. Perhaps what would be more telling is a wheel of an entire innings where a team has scored more than 400 or so
Can someone please post an image of a big wheel showing a century or more runs - it would be interesting to see evidence of places that are inaccessible to the batsmen. I had a couple of unreal five5 games against the AI tonight and the game is growing on me but I have all fingers crossed that...
Ive been trying to get the 17 one captured properly but to no avail as yet - it is either a strange crouching cut or a weird flat bat with no follow through. I hope they can get the 14 one back.
Another shot type that needs looking at is the cut shot -the animation in DBC 14 was perfect for this as evidenced in the video
The 17 equivalent is strange looking and looks extremely rigid
I came to the DBC 14 party late (at a time when the '14' wasn't even there) so don't remember the state of it upon release. What kind of issues were in that game that were addressed post-release? I think batting gameplay above all else needs to be seriously looked at - I am okay with clunky...
Fantastic post and hits the nail right on the head. I'd love to see the shot graph on someone who has hit a century to see the same lines going around. DBC 14 had these going everywhere on the 360 - I hope this is fixable but not sure if it will be considering shot animations seem to be missing...
Like many others, I can't help but feel disappointed with the experience so far considering how much I've been hanging out for this. The big issue for me is the lack of 360 shot ability where each shot seems to go in eight or so different places no matter which combinatiom of foot and ball...
I was just wondering how I can find the BBL Teams? Which user created them? I have found Brisbane, Perth, Hobart and Adelaide so far on PS4 academy but can't locate the other teams anywhere. Fantastic work whoever is responsible for these though!
