I have a couple of simultaneous career's going on at the minute; both are 16 y/o for Yorkshire, one's a batting-all rounder batting at number 4 with off-spin bowling (Pie-chucker, anyone?) currently my batting average on this particular career is shocking I very rarely get anything higher than...
Having spent a good half hour setting up both England and Australia with reduced stat's as per the thread using Dave's batting attributes as a template, as well as 6/3 or 5/2 for the respective swing bowling stat's I'm currently content with the settings. Set up a 3 match test series as a...
Ah well, would have made life easier. Quick query having flicked through the thread briefly what are the ideal settings for attributes, leaving as is or lower Anticipation/Run speed and strength? For instance would lowering those 3 to the minimum possible have an adverse effect at all?
I'm going to set straight bat as 5/6 for the top order with offside/onside an increment lower I think and see how that works, I've tried with out/in swing at 3/2 respectively. That's the only fault I'm having with the game, is how easy it is to punch through the AI gap's other than that stat's...
To be fair, that's how a tail-ender should be in my eyes none of this acting like a top order batsman malarkey, just swipe at the ball and try to score as many as possible in as little amount of balls.
No problems guys, just trying to find a sweet spot that works, currently editing England, Sri Lanka and I'm thinking maybe Kenya to get a median for lower ranked teams, the one thing I am finding in my first few play through's are how abundant the AI attempts to play through mid off, I'm not...
I've recently returned back to DBC and I'm currently in the process of changing all international teams based on the stats provided by Dave and Wealey and trying to find a middle ground between them. My questions are, say if I set all teams to having equal stats as shown in the first post...
I'm currently playing England V Australia on a pristine pitch and currently Australia are 59/4, all of the wickets have been taken in Mid on and Mid off, had a few edges which dropped short. My question is, if I take say England and pitch them against India or New Zealand who haven't had their...
Just in time to annoy the other half, She was beginning to enjoy the time I spent shopping and walking with her! Thanks Ross and the team it's been worth waiting for!.
That is true, but it just makes it all the more enjoyable when it does happen. Oddly enough though when I'm batting I have no such adversity to edging the ball to the wicket keeper/first slip.
To be fair it seems more life like for it - I remember the Ashes 2009/Ic 2010 games as being really easy to bowl people out, the spin bowling mechanic ruined that game for me. I've just been bowling to South Africa 26/0 off 7 overs and I actually feel rewarded for a maiden over. It's frustrating...
He'll have to log onto the DBC academy server and download the players from there, I think Blocker Dave/Bl800 and MJT1994 have updated the current teams.
Anyone noticed a significant mark up between Pro and Veteran difficulty? (I realise that is the intention, however it seems like a bigger leap that Amateur to Pro). I'm running the ps4 version, and did two test matches - Identical teams (England v South Africa) and after 30 overs on Pro I were...
Had the ps4 version arrive yesterday from Funbox, set up an England v India test match, game play seems smooth and seamless when bowling/batting, huge upgrade over the ps3 version. Game is life like, went from 65 - 1 to 84 - 7 when facing Indian spinners, somehow my batting needs looking at!.
Congratulations, always a satisfactory feeling when scoring one. My first century happened in a grind fest of a match, I was clean bowled on 101 but the elation of scoring it meant I took it with a pinch of salt. I'd been caught and trapped LBW on 99 twice which happened to be a bitter tasting pill.
The best advice I can offer is to use your instincts. I tend to play front foot shots as I did when I used to play as a school boy/with friends, however I've also managed to wean myself off that and just play using my reactions. More often than not I will get out but the balls I do manage to hit...
