Not had a single issue with run outs myself. I simply hold R2 (PS3) to run fast and press circle when I don't want a run. Always works fine.

I think the solution will be fine. Are we certain that a field change only happens when there's a cut scene? I could have sworn I was out caught the other day by a fielder that wasn't there the ball before - and there wasn't a cut scene. I could be wrong though. Either way it takes about 5...

Started a career as a batsman. Feel like I've got the hang of it to be honest and it's impatience that gets me out more than anything. Regularly get 20s and 30s and hit my first 50 yesterday off about 35 balls. Loving it.

Has anyone tried the offline multiplayer? Likelihood is that's what I'll be spending most of my time doing initially - my brother and I have a long running rivalry dating back to Brian Lara Cricket.
