I used to follow the 'improved AI batting, making bowling experiences more enjoyable' thread and found my experiences most closely matched yours on the game.
The recent test series has got me back into DBC14 having been put off 17 and the first 20 or so pages of this...
It must just be the pitch then, as it happens I got a couple of lbw's just clipping the bails, I can just remember many frustrating instances of height being the issue when looking at BARS. I did make sure to bowl fuller too, it's just I normally had no problem with height whatsoever.
When creating your Aus and Eng teams, did you make the spinners tall too? Unless it's the pitch (dusty, hard, uneven) far too many spin deliveries go over the stumps than is a) realistic or b) conducive to taking wickets (which is the main aim imo). Only edges I've got so far in 130 overs have...
Pro, career, as bowler. Bowled a late delivery, heard a stumps like noise but the game has frozen at this point. It seems like the delivery has gone through physically but not graphically, WK is still moving, crowd is animated.
Have been playing a bit more since my earlier feedback - I won't have detailed breakdowns but I'll share thoughts from more playing time (no alterations to skills until I've played long enough).
I actually got a thick edge off a spinner! I just assumed this was an impossibility until now...
I batted in my series in the first one dayer and was ripped to shreds by (a default??) Tredwell, 3-1-5-7. 6 edges, one bowled. I think I'll stick to simming for now!
I had a run out in my Eng vs NZ tests, Buttler attempting a third and suffering a direct hit from deep!
I was wondering whether any edges would go through slip for a while, but then in a One Day match two edges went to approx 2nd and 4th slip, no fielders there though. I even had an edge to...
At first I thought that can't be true, but that would explain the NZ bowling ratings!
In which case, top work by you and the others involved, I'll add to the proper thread from time to time :)
Is there any possible way of keeping the pitch wear after saving a game and returning to it later?
It's a bit frustrating having some rough only to lose it the next time you want to play.
I was bowling as New Zealand against England, simming batting. I think the only changes to my first get best players (as of July 2014 iirc) were to download a Mark Craig, and a new Moeen Ali (with a slight lowering of his batting stats to satisfy a personal whim). The lineups have been altered...
In the interests of balance, I have been playing with standard Get Best teams on pro in my first full test match and got:
- Two edges off drives to the keeper from tailenders in my first innings
- A middle order edge to the keeper, and anther dropped legitimate edge
- Two leading edges, not...
I had two instances in a game of edges to the keeper, appealed, given out by the umpire, but not actually counting as a wicket. They're rare enough as it is!
Had a bit of a bug in a ODI between England and New Zealand, casual match, with the get best teams.
Vettori was bowling over the wicket to Joe Root and kept bowling wide after wide - this only lasted an over or so as he eventually bowled around the wicket and the problem subsided. It was...
Edit - removed to other thread.
AI audio for run calling is also all over the place, only seems to be said on the completion of a run. There are also calls when the batsman don't even move for a run.
In addition would be fine, I know RPM is given on TV now but I thought speed was as well. Just there are times when I'd like to know for certain whether I've mistimed a shot due to a quicker/slower delivery or just poor timing, period. (My game occasionally stutters). Given that it's given for...
