I think consumer confidence in cricket games produced by Big Ant has pretty much been lost as things stand. Still, I'm clinging on in the hope that they manage to (eventually) turn things around. I very much doubt people will be queuing up for pre-orders next time around.
You absolutely should expect the same as FIFA/NBA as Big Ant are charging you the same price as those games. This is no longer the time to be sympathetic based on company size but rather quality of product which is clearly sub par in many facets...
You can report it here on this forum via: https://www.planetcricket.org/forums/threads/cricket-22-bug-report-thread-read-first-post.117995/
If we believe what we have been told, Big Ant do read this bug thread.
I understand the comparison but NBA 2K is miles ahead in every single department. The graphics alone are breathtaking on Ps5 as they should be - meanwhile we get something that looks like DB17. Of course budget is the big factor here, but you would still expect better...
People who have...
I'm genuinely curious to understand what processes the QA team follow to test the game tbh...I get that Day 1 games will inevitably have some issues, but there are so many immersion-breakers from what people have described that I would genuinely wait until they get sorted.
Problem is a lot of the issues raised here have persisted from previous games which have been raised numerous times in the past. Makes you lose a little confidence, but as mentioned, we can only hope for the best that these can be rectified.
With my immersion breakers being fielding and unrealistic AI shots (incl. the uppercut nonsense) not fixed as per the comments above, I will be holding off purchasing.
Bit surprised there was no community/alpha testing input from the forum/community as per in previous games. I do know that the BA team monitor some of the threads here so can only hope for the best.
This + a variety of catching/outfield dismissals is really what I would like to see as fundamental improvements. Fielding has to be a huge upgrade on cricket 19.
