We are talking a different of 54 to like 45. Lol. Besides AFL has zero other competition, Tiebreak has about 3 other tennis games just within the last few years.
That’s the thing, in today’s game a lot of the players do play the same. This is the one time where it’s actually okay that this happens. The game is becoming very homogenized (baseline grinders), even across the various surfaces .
The AI making mistakes is good- and was heavily requested. For me it’s impossible to be worse, because nothing could be worse than the movement they had before this patch. It made the game nearly unplayable due to the auto pull forward on baseline shots.
The problem is that their rollout (and reputation) leave them at TopSpin’s mercy. The “coming soon” from 2K’s game seems to suggest that it should be out by March/April, which would spell instant doom for Tiebreak given May seems to be its target. They need TopSpin to be a second half of the...
The longer they (Nacon, Tiebreak) etc stay silent and continue to let release dates slip, the less I feel bad. The one thing they can control in this new situation is their communication…..and it continues to be non existent.
It’s apparent that the game just isn’t ready and all this other random stuff Ross is saying is just a stretch of the true. He’s better off not saying those things, because it’s only making matters worse.
Why are they waiting to the very last moment to get approvals? Seems odd, and just further shows how ridiculous the initial release dates were. They were never hitting Jan 11…I’m not sure why that was even listed.
But that’s the thing, Nacon has taken over the marketing and even BA has reiterated this on social media. Nacon started full marketing for Tennis World Tour 1 nearly 3 months prior to release, began releasing screens and videos 8 months prior. For Tennis World Tour 2 they released footage and...
There has to be something weird going on in this relationship. Nacon wants to charge for an early release, without actually showing the game at all. Big Ant says the game is ready and Ross is loving it, yet they have zero to show…..it doesn’t add up.
I find the statement baffling. You claim it’s the most authentic, and biggest, tennis game ever; state that it’s due to release imminently and then drop a press release…..without a shred of footage or game information to be seen. How does this happen in 2024?
I do feel for the devs. They seem...
They have the actual license to the ATP and the WTA as organizations…which has never been achieved in the video game world. Players, styles, kits, stadiums are all very different things.
It’s possible this was said in jest, but there’s a ton to market. This is the very first game to ever hold the licensing of both tours- The ATP & WTA. That alone is a big deal. Then there’s the whole start of the new season (which is even referenced in the leak photo), which they’ve now also...
They didn’t. It came out of the ATP Media Guide, and has been out for about a week. Pretty typical for them to be the last ones to share it. I feel like the same thing happened for their last tennis game, with the release date, pre order Info and DLC all being publicly known before they even...
