Hi.
It's been a while since I posted but I've a question. Does DB17 have 2 v 2 multiplayer? I picked it up the other day but haven't had time to take it out for more than a cursory play, online MP is down the list at present. I've mates who're holding off buying it until they know for definite...
Here in Worcester the crowds have been poor for the T20, and that's with great weather. It was possible to buy tickets on the day for the Warks game and that's unheard of. There does seem to be a lot of taking the public for granted too. Ticket prices are steep if you fancy going to a few games...
Broadband speed shouldn't really matter unless you're on dial up or isdn. I seem to recall reading that XBox Live's safe minimum was 512kbs but I know that Bungie had tested Halo3 on 56k just to make sure it would work. If a fast paced fps works at 56k then a cricket game should work fine over...
True enough but I can live with that. The good stuff outweigh the bad for me at the moment.
eg My son is old enough to play co-op with me now so that's something I've been playing a fair bit of, I know it's been around for years but i've never used it until now.
I guess I'm just easily...
Sums up exactly my feelings on the game. Fix online and it'll take me away from MW2 and Split Second but offline is fun too. I'm old enough to remember when games were not online multiplayer so it doesn't really detract from my overall experience.
I played AC09 for about a fortnight if memory serves. I found it to be just a reskinned BLIC07, BLIC05 etc. Four weeks with IC10 and I'm still loving it. It has it's faults but the overall package isn't bad imho. It's true that the Online aspect is poorly implemented, a major problem in this day...
I'm in the UK and I've had disconnects ranging from a mate in the same city ( Worcester ) to Aus / Ind / Pak. In fact I've only had 3 games that I've actually been able to complete - 1 v Jara, 1 v Codebreaker & 1 with a mate in Worcester. :crying
I personally feel that until the whole disconnect issue has been sorted that this list is open to errors. Sure there will be people named so far who will be quitters but there will also be perfectly decent people who have had the disconnect and as a result will forever have their names...
I did mention that in my email, I had a game with Codebreaker where we were able to stay in private chat even though the game itself was borked. On the plus side, no one involved in the making of the game can be unaware of our gripes now as we do see some of them on here periodically. Hopefully...
I emailed Codies on Tuesday. Here's their reply :
Thank you for submitting your recent request to Codemasters Customer Services concerning International Cricket 2010.

I'm currently going through an atrocious batting period. Played jaraarrow and codebreaker over Live yesterday and was roundly thrashed, no challenge for either of them. :crying
To compound my ineptitude these past few days I ( playing as England ) managed to be beaten by 20+ runs in a T20 by...
I had a game with Codebreaker last night on Live. The game lost connection to host yet the private chat continued. If we could still have a natter then the fault isn't with Live or our own connections. I think Codies are being a tad disingenuous with some of their communications.
In a way...
Although most of us have " faces for the radio " we're not allowed near any grownup equipment in case we break it so it probably wasn't one of us. I'd imagine a lot of clubs around the country took this route.
Well we won the toss and plumped for batting second. The only flaw in our plan was when we discovered that the other team was packed full of U18s. So we ended up a tad drunkened whilst they hit the soft drinks. Didn't put the Pearmen off though. We sneaked a 3 wicket win with a ball to spare.
Over the whole package it's a great game. It has flaws, but it definately shows potential. I love it personally but 4 out of 5 seems fair.
Maybe next year it'll be a 5.
This Sunday my match is starting early so tea can be taken for the duration of the England Vs Germany fitba match. The club we're away at has a hard bar so I think it's fair to say that the majority of us will be a bit below par after the interval.
With this in mind, which would be better...
