Yeah know that feeling mate. I usually average around the same, so if i just keep saving and playing etc, sometimes not for a few days, sometimes a good 2/3 hour session getting a full day in, just keep coming back to it enjoying the progression of the match.

Doesnt take that long, but i dont rush it, enjoy it, enjoy the ebbs and flows of a test match when one team can be on top then the other with a quick clatter of wickets or a nuggety 50 not out, enjoy bowling to plans, digging in when you need to batting etc. Like real life, test matches only...

Im considering this mode now, never tried it before. Once i get the ratings of all the players tweaked to leave the overall team rankings in line with the real world rankings, might go for it. What do you need to tweak as you go would you say?

Exactly what just happened to me. First session of a test in Barbados, me (Eng) against the WI, they end 75-2 at lunch with a great mixture of everything, plays and misses, good running, some lovely crunched boundaries, a feather to first slip off Jimmy and even a leading edge catch to cover...

Now then - this is the sort of stuff that can bring this game back from the dead for me. Time to fire up and test...

Also dont mind restarting constantly due to stupid run outs... It plays ok now but still some mad moments they really ought to be sorting.

@Mouseydread DL Aus and Eng 90s teams, enjoying a one off Lords test with the retro filter but notice all the players have absolutely zeroed out fielding ability. Is this a known issue, BA error for teams you UL for C22 etc? Thoughts? Also @blockerdave what sliders do you tend to use for...

Trying to play for the first time in a while and cant...as the servers seem down. Anyone else same issue? BA really do themselves no favours at times.

Idea to help - nerf all teams/players by 10/15 pts. So the best players are rated 75 not 90, the middle players 65 not 80 etc, worst 50 not 70, would still create the difference in player skill but open up dismissal variation much more @smurfygray86

Indeed long known issue but its pretty poor we have to self police issues like this due to something that should have been fixed eons ago.

I'll give it a go in that case as I trust your opinion on it. Major changes you like without regurgitation of the patch notes?

We're really starting from a low base here aren't we when after a gazillion patches stuff like this is still in there.

It's really quite impressive for one company to be quite so prolific at a "fix one thing break three others" patching process. Kudos, I suppose. Will wait for reviews on this 783rd patch since releasing a broken game before I even consider downloading it.

Yeah, ive had to shelve this game now. Its getting worse by the patch, which is some achievement. Hoping this Gods Of Cricket is half decent, because as cricket gaming fans, we are getting royally shafted by BA at the moment,.

The more i play the more the obvious trade off is an issue. That being much better, flatter throws in from outfielders...great in theory. In practice its whats leading to all the silly runouts. @Wealey if they can tweak this, we are really starting to get somewhere with this game

Annoying but just use the exit and restart after this happens, its what i do, dont want to take cheap unrealistic wickets like this. Patch seems a decent one, time for my latest test "Test" to begin...

Im testing a seam only test, SA v NZ, see if i can have a decent competitive test match with no spin involved until the fixes arrive.

Yep - i have release and plant at 0 and line sensitivity at 0, basically the hardest bowling settings possible - can still hit Ideal/Ideal 70-80% of the time, the odd good, the even rarer weak, but as you say, weak doesnt seem to hurt much, took a wicket with a weak spin delivery last night...
