At least we've got some firepower in the Indian team now. Tendulkar rested again? He didn't play the T20 World Cup nor the Zimbabwe Tri-Series. Having said that, he's getting older and I guess we need to preserve him for the bigger fixtures to come.
I think Zimbabwe should wait a while before they get back to test cricket. The Intercontinental Cup doesn't put them up as the one of the best of the minnows and will have to work their way to a position like Bangladesh. The bright side is, it looks very possible. Barring all said and done about...
Certainly! Sri Lanka knocked them out of the tournament today. Hopefully we'll see a much better show in this tournament with them taking on their equals.
Amongst all this, it looks like Jahurul Islam is slowly getting his way into the limelight. He got a pretty decent start in the first innings (scoring 21) and now he's batting on 53 with his last wicket partner Rubel Hossain. The partership seems to have carried on for 39 runs so far...
Fascinating observations made there. It'd help if the coaching staff read this. But I guess they'll be getting more than enough advice at the moment.
One point I don't agree with however is the one about Yuvraj Singh not doing anything significant for the team except for the 6 sixes he hit in...
I second that. Shakib is world class, no doubt about that. And that Bangladesh don't have too many good test cricketers, let alone bench strength, is going to pull them back big time. I wouldn't be surprised if England win both games within four days.
Well I guess the Windies did learn a bit from their previous defeats. They pushed Pollard up the order like they should be doing. Didn't work this time, but in my opinion, its the right way to go.
I would prefer calling it "raring to go" over "overconfident". These are talented, young players who would've been dreaming of a spot in the national side until recently and would be waiting to show what they're made up of. After all, the standard of cricket you see in the IPL is probably higher...
A couple of months ago the PCB chairman ruled out the participation of a team from Pakistan after "the way their players were treated". He was referring to the non-inclusion of Pakistani players in the third edition of the IPL.
Domestic sides from England, the World T20 Champions, will unfortunately be missing from the 2010 edition of the Champions League in South Africa.
Due to the scheduling of an Australia - India series later this year, the Champions League has been advanced to early September. The England &...
I agree with your view on that. He did a decent job yesterday despite his batting position, but if West Indies want a match winning performance from him, they better push him up the order.
Yeah, seriously, Arsenal will have to thank their starts that Fabregas is still with them. And about Barcelona acquiring Villa, well, it looks like its going to be a La Liga - Champions League double for them!
Pretty good team, I must say. The batting looks very bright indeed with the batsmen on display. This is a wonderful opportunity for Abhinav Mukund to display his talent. He's a wonderful player who never got a chance to play in the IPL. Let's hope this tour brings him into the limelight.
Hello everybody.
I'm Karthik, and as you would've probably guessed by now, I'm from India and keenly follow their cricket.
This looks like a pretty interesting place, and I hope it stays this way for long enough!
Cheers :)
